  • Hiya Lady bumps :)

Ok I think it is Spaghetti that needs the labour vibes so sending them straight away hehe

    ermmmmmmmm let me think......

Maternity bras...I'm going to go and bite the bullet at the weekend and see if I can get measured. I have a couple of sleep bras that I have been wearing just around hte house as they are so comfy.....hubby thinks my b00bs may have shrunk but I have a feeling they just look smaller due to the bump I have now got lol.....I haven't had the joy of leaky b00bs yet and am hoping that doesn't start for me lol

Hubby is at home today putting the carpet down in the spare which is going to be our new room lol....he is going to see if he can get the bed up tonight and if he does we will move in there tonight :O the pram arrived at my MILs yesterday too so we have to find time to go down and play with that. Also hoping to go and visit some friends on Friday night then maybe use my groupon voucher for the hotel on Saturday although after last weekend hubby is not keen on us going any distance...just back from physio and am not allowed to do any long car journeys so that is the trip at the weekend out the window (it's a 2 hour drive which I don't see as a problem but apparently at 39 weeks pregnant could take 4 hours with breaks lmao)

Woot woot for last day of work Sammy just don't overdo it between now and bubs arriving.....

Am sitting here having some RLT and it's quite nice with a spoonful of honey in it :) but I could so do with a kip,...not happening as hubby is laying the carpet atm

OK brain is frazzled so can't think of anything else that hasn't already been said lol

Big hugs all round and oh BTW who is taking over on the daily reminder from Tickle regarding Pelvic Floor saying she now has her hands full with her gorgeous wee man???? I nominate our wee Apricot hehe :P

  • Thanks so much for all the labour vibes!!
I'm actually still here........contractions are maybe getting a bit stronger now. Called the hospital this morning and they said they definitely have to be very strong and very regular to come in. Mine were definitely a bit up and down - now they are mostly getting towards the excrutiating so hopefully won't be too long now... we're going to time them again in a bit...

    Ooh exciting! Good look SM!
  • Have they told you to take paracetamol and have a bath, SM?
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x
  • Good luck spaghetti, sounds very exciting. Yes, painful, but you'll get to meet bubs soon!

Ladies, does anyone know anything about the strep b thing? My mum said it was mentioned on This Morning about GBSS and I did a little Google and it came up with this. Says you need to be tested between 35-37 weeks, so I am a little way off this. Apparently they involve vaginal and rectal swabs, and if the NHS don't offer them then you can pay £32 for the kit.
I will ask my MW next week, but wanted to know if anyone on here has had it or knows anything about it.
I will definitely have the test one way or another.
  • gfh - after my last message I got in nice warm bath - was lovely! Now back to the contractions..... Just got a call from the hospital telling us to come in this evening anyway with hospital bag and all and we'll just go back home if it's still really far off!

I have a 11week old and joined the tesco baby club twice (one at my address, one at my mums) and today i went to the self serve till and got 2 packs of pampers (2for£10) for £3.50!! I scanned 2 x hugges £1.50 off vouchers, 1 x £2 off pampers, and 1 x £1.50 off pampers active fit! All vouchers were from tesco baby club - so remember some vouchers work off the product even if you havent bought it! I would recommend going to a self serve till and using any vouchers that you havent bought the product for first. (after 2 coupons the cashier has to come and scan the rest for you coz till goes funny lol) so save the correct ones for her to do as sometimes they check you've bought the right things!

Not much else to report really. 15 weeks today and starting to develop of pot belly - fingers crossed its the baby rather than the food.

All the best for later on Spaghetti, let's hope things have progressed enough for them to keep you in!

Sammy how does it feel now you are on ML? Scarey and exciting I bet! 6 weeks today I will be finished whoo hoo!

  • Hi all,

Just to say Spaghetti I hope they keep you in and that soon you can have mummy cuddles!

Sammy enjoy having handed over and that final walk away from work - not sure if you are going back but enjoy being able to relax and give your body the sleep and lower stress levels it needs!

Hi DogLover and snap on the pot belly, mine has only really started to be more obvious in the last 7 days I would say. I can't wait to be able to tell the difference between tummy gurgling and baby moving! Also heard that as I am 18 weeks now from this point on they can hiccup which is just tooooo cute - they can hear mine and I might be able to notice theirs too!

Apricot stay awaaay from that mouse, you will end up in retail danger he he... I know that once I start that will be it, so have been avoiding it and sticking to small stuff on ebay... but won't be able to hold off forever!
