    Afternoon all.

Another one with a bad nights sleep. I was almost asleep and then OH came back from work about half 12 all hyper and woke me up and then i just kept geting pains across my ribs everytime I tried to turn. Then he had to get up at half 5 to go to work again...bet he is tired now!

I didn't get measured until 28 weeks and have never been weighed (thank goodness). I am hoping I am like my Mum she siad she gained 3 stone with me and then only had half a stone to lose once i came out! There was a lot of liquid etc. My Grandma also keeps telling me the story of how the midwife made her walk up and down the ward to show the ladies how thin she was again after having my Dad, sure the other ladies were thrilled lol.

i lost most of the weight after Dd as it was all fluid too. Even my thighs went all wobbly as they had been swollen for the last couple of weeks. it was the horrible jelly belly that I hate. its all sad as there is no baby in there anymore.
And when you poke your tummy flab it takes about 15 minutes to stop moving.

But with DS i hardly lost anything and have just gained and gained ever since :o as this is my last i have no excuses but to get into shape as their will be no baby to use as an excuse in the future.

Re Boots parenting club bag. When i joined they said they were changing the offers over and thats why i hadn't received the voucher for the bag, so after getting on and on at them,i eventually got the voucher through the post, then another one and another. I used one and kept another (Not sure why).
If you don't get the voucher, you can get the bag from the website as long as you are a member of the parenting club. If you add the nappies to your basket then put the code PCCB22 in the voucher box, it should add the bag for you, then you can collect from store for free. (see there was a good reason for me keepng a voucher....to get the code off it :) )

    Jojo thanks!:T
Which nappies was it I had to buy? x

I think it is a just a pack of pampers, so you can get the smallest pack of newborn.

There is no need to use plug covers. I remember a while back being shown a video as to how they make plugs more dangerous, not safer. I think it's on U Tube. Plugs already have safety features in them that those plastic covers undo!
WSS. To get a current going through you you'd need to be connected to both the live and the neutral however, you'd also need to have something stuck in the earth as that is a safety feature to reduce the risk of them being live without a plug in. (This is why non-earthed appliances have a plastic pin to go in the earth.)

Just wondering, what 'baby proofing' do you need to do around the home? I figured plug covers and table corner protectors but is there anything else. I know baby won't be moving around too soon but if it takes after me it'll be curious about EVERYTHING. (I bit into a bundle of electric wires on something my father was working on and got a slight shock. I also walked my walker down 2 stairs and managed to climb onto the table from a seat thing. All this at quite a young age so I'm worried about starting to babyproof early :P Yes, I'm a worrier.)
I just made sure I never left her unsupervised from when she was mobile to when she was old enough to not do dangerous things. The only thing we did was make sure there was a safety catch on the cupboard of cleaning stuff (although we actually already had this in case of visiting children).

just a light dusting on the grass. its still snowing though.i dont think it will come to much here, just the higher ground.

I also feel very lucky (touch wood) that ive not experienced SPD with any of my pregnancies (so far).
My friend had her baby 6 months ago, she was in agony and on crutches for most of it. But she had another 2 children under 3 also. The MW said she hadnt given herself enough time to heal properly. poor girl couldnt even pick her 1 year old up.
She still had a bit of pain after her DD was born but it went after a couple of months. now shes just shattered from chasing 3 little uns around.
i dont know how she copes, she had dd 6 months, Dd2 2 and DS 3  when I panic about how im ging to cope i think of how she does it all.

My poor nan had 10 children! Oh and for you overdue ladies, her tip for getting things shifting is to go down the stairs on your bum! :D

Not even got dressed today, CBA at all. :(

    :j Dusty.

I know what you mean nic about the jelly belly, I hated it too, felt like it just didn't belong to me.

Work is sssoo boring, its pouring down with rain,I just want to go home and snuggle up on sofa. Getting myself in a right tizz trying to work out if we should move now so that bubs has a nursery or if we should wait untill im back from maternity. I just cant face putting the house on the market and going through all the financial hastle , but I know I wont can be bothered when im back after maternity leave. I wish someone could wave a magic wand.lol I suppose its not the end of the world that the baby wont have his/her room untill they are a little bit bigger. A client at work yesterday really annoyed me , they laughed when I told them that I was pregnant and going to need to sell my flat she said " Im sorry but if you were going to get married etc why would you buy a one bedroom flat knowing that this might happen " Felt like saying really loudly " I was told I couldnt have children you cheeky c0w"
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

We were buying a new house before the market fell through over here and the whole time were planning a games room etc and the ones in work were asking were we not going to need one for the baby...at that point I wasn't PG and had been told for 20 years I wouldn't be getting PG so I know what you mean.......just stick your tongue out at them behind their backs lol xxxxx
