Work is sssoo boring, its pouring down with rain,I just want to go home and snuggle up on sofa. Getting myself in a right tizz trying to work out if we should move now so that bubs has a nursery or if we should wait untill im back from maternity. I just cant face putting the house on the market and going through all the financial hastle , but I know I wont can be bothered when im back after maternity leave. I wish someone could wave a magic wand.lol I suppose its not the end of the world that the baby wont have his/her room untill they are a little bit bigger. A client at work yesterday really annoyed me , they laughed when I told them that I was pregnant and going to need to sell my flat she said " Im sorry but if you were going to get married etc why would you buy a one bedroom flat knowing that this might happen " Felt like saying really loudly " I was told I couldnt have children you cheeky c0w"

Ours hasn't got his own room. Our bedroom is massive and OH is meant to be dividing it, but can't see a cat in hells chance of it getting done before. I was getting wound up over it, but not now, he'll be in his moses basket for a good few months anyway. Just nowhere for his clothes! :(:D

    :mad::mad: to the client!

    Love the belly RBG! :D

I thought about saying something back , but she wouldve just rolled her eyes and said " hormones kicking in?" Our room is fairly big too , but due to the shape of the room there is no way of splitting , we have a big hall that OH is putting nice big units in for babys clothes. I just keep reminding myself it wont be forever, ony untill bubs is 5/6 months old.Providing we can sell flat. The market is just rubbish at the minute
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

it does sound like that Missspendalot it says one Wikipedia not to have a C section or epidural as it will make it worse afterwards.

I had both epidural and CS, and can honestly say my SPD disappeared as soon as baby was out! Never felt it again.

If you have SPD in one pregnancy are you guaranteed to get it in future pregnancies?
I don't think it's guaranteed, I think it differs for each person. I've barely suffered this time round, in fact I'd say mine was more just general pregnancy aches and pains instead of actual SPD when last time round I was in agony every day with it.

LOL I'm a terrible Mummy I never child proofed anything. Never bothered with a stair gate as I wanted DD to learn how to climb up and down the stairs safely, never put locks on cupboards as I wanted her to learn what she could and could not touch. I did have the safety covers for sockets but forgot to put them on, and the only time DD touched them was to plug in my hairdryer for me!!

We didn't actively child-proof anything either, apart from putting the catches on the kitchen cupboards, that DS then shook so hard they all broke anyway. He knows what he can and can't touch, been able to get up and down stairs safely since he could crawl (under supervision of course!) and has never touched a plug socket, apart from to plug the laptop in if I ask nicely lol.

Confessed to OH about how I've been feeling - really low, nothing interests me, tearful, no appetite, etc The hardest part was admitting that sometimes when people talk about my bump or the baby I feel physically ill at the thought of it. Funnily I'm not frightened thinking about the birth, it's just sometimes being reminded I'm pg I think...
He was brilliant anyway (has been the whole time) and he's going to keep an eye on me, make me do at least half an hour of activity each night as that helps my mood, things like that.
Definitely mention this to your MW next time you see her, I ignored these feelings for so long and got worse and worse.

Hi LabLover :) Just to let you know that my BIL and SIL had their daughter in a one bed flat till she was 2 so you'll cope just fine. They only moved to a house when they were planning their second.
Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck :)

Went to my counselling session today and was brilliant, I feel so much better although I was really sceptical about whether I would even benefit from it, seeing as there's nothing even wrong with me. Turns out this is one of my problems, not being able to admit I'm feeling down or bothered by something, pretending nothing is wrong, ignoring it til it goes away sort of thing, and also not being able to ask for help when I need it resulting in doing too much and suffering even more.

She said I'm most likely suffering from birth trauma from the birth of DS, which I ignored at the time and now it's presenting itself in making me feel very low and lacking in 'oompf' much more than pregnancy on it's own would do. She said a lot of things that made sense to me when it was pointed out, and gave me some ways in which to ease the pressure on myself even if I still feel I can't ask for help when I need it.

Feel so much better, not 'fixed' as I can't just switch off everything I've been feeling, but now I understand why it's doing it I can try and help improve things if I can.

I was told by my midwife it was not guaranteed to happen again, but made the probability higher. I was told by my GP at my 6 week check after my last baby that I would definitely get it again, and earlier, and worse. Unfortunately at the moment I would have to say that my GP was spot on :(

I still think it is worth it though for what you get at the end.

I found this time I planned well in advance for the fact it would probably happen and right from TTC I was careful not to lift anything. Once I found out I was pregnant I didn't hoover, walk far, lift anything, etc to try and protect myself. I am gutted it's come back so early, but I am still pleased I am having another baby and wouldn't change it.
I was given the same advice that your GP gave you. I remember during the pregnancy with DS saying many times that I would never put myself through it again. Clearly I changed my mind :rotfl: I was one of the women who had problems still after the birth. It took a good 6 months for everything to really settle down. Because of that I knew I'd be hit early on & worse than before. All I can say to those of you who are experiencing it in your first pregnancy...it really is worth it in the end :) Protect yourself, if it hurts don't do it. I pushed myself too hard first time & that may be why my recovery was so much longer. I am taking much better care of myself this time although I still do too much as sometimes it's impossible not to.

Thanks, is a bit more reassuring that it may not happen again. I suppose I could always start physio or something earlier? I will know what to look out for if there is a next time, at least. I won't be going on hour long walks or hoovering (you know, I am so gutted that hoovering is out :rotfl:). Once bubs is here no doubt I'll be blarbing on about wanting another one :rotfl: The things we put oursevles through!! I am sure bubs will be worth it though, that's what keeps me going :)

Re Boots parenting club bag. When i joined they said they were changing the offers over and thats why i hadn't received the voucher for the bag, so after getting on and on at them,i eventually got the voucher through the post, then another one and another. I used one and kept another (Not sure why).
If you don't get the voucher, you can get the bag from the website as long as you are a member of the parenting club. If you add the nappies to your basket then put the code PCCB22 in the voucher box, it should add the bag for you, then you can collect from store for free. (see there was a good reason for me keepng a voucher....to get the code off it :) )

Thanks a lot hun, will try in a bit. It was the Pampers Newborn wasn't it? That's fine as I'll probably be using them anyway.

    RBG - great bump pic!

Dusty - glad bubs is moving about now, the fingering the belly button must have worked :rotfl:

honeypop - really glad you're feeling better hun x

I am in a good mood now - got an email from Rimmel saying I have won one in ten goody bags worth £30 :T That was after they sent me a full size foundation to review! Good foundation as well, so have done well there!

Better do guinea pigs food now x
