Pixie, (i think you asked) i sent off my healthy start forms a few days ago. Will let you know when they come :)

Mw today was crap. The mw i was meant to be seeing called yesterday to confirm the appointment. Got there ready for my 130pm appointment and at 245 she came out and went 'im finished now' without seeing me or another woman

So she agreed to see the other woman and my actual mw saw me. She has agreed to let me stay on as her patient and baby is doing great :)

I mentioned to her about my GP being moody about the shared care and she has said that some other ladies have also mentioned it so im just mw and consultant care now :)

We've got lots of knitting coming our way, my mum, MIL, neighbours etc. I'm not sure bubs will get chance to wear them all. I do love home made baby clothes tho :)

I'm washing all our bought baby clothes tonight ready to pack away on sunday. Feel overwhelmed at the size of everything. Looks adorable hanging over the radiator tho. :D

EA - I sent mine off about a week ago but still haven't heard back. I think I expect too much as I think it's usually up to 14 days. :S

Pleased to hear you felt some movement Dusty. Have you got a MW appt coming up soon so they can use the doppler?

EA - at the MW for making you wait over an hour. I'm never seen on time, but never for that long.

    Teenie - Mmmmm - scones. Yum :)

Wendz - Yay for family knitting. I was moaning to my mum about how we had no one to knit baby cardi's since my nan died, and she said she knows how to knit! She's never knitted anything in the 32 years I've been around! :rotfl: I am now the proud owner of 2 hand knitted cardis by my mum now - they are cute :D

Chakani - Fingers crossed the sweep works and you get your mummy cuddles soon.

Our baby's room is coming along lovely. Carpet has been laid, border and curtains put up and I nearly cried :o Can't believe there is going to be a baby in there soon. I will post a piccie but will wait until it's all finished and everything is set up. It really is lovely :)

I didn't get round to Asda today so hopefully try and go tomorrow or Sunday - hope there's some sale stuff left.

EA - how rude of the midwife, can't believe you had to wait so long as well.

My sister is a knitwear designer and just sold a couple of designs to a well known baby shop today so hopefully she can knit me some replicas! I agree that I don't know how baby will have chance to wear all these clothes hehe.

I cannot wait to see your nursery. I'm hoping ours is finished by the end of Sunday, if OH pulls his finger out. It is lovely seeing it all cone together tho isn't it?

I'm super excited about decided which drawers to
Put things in.....I need to get out more :)

    I've been Money Tipped!
Still getting painful twinges, a lot of sharp cervical pain, some braxtons that are not painful, some odd feelings spreading across my lower back.....still no pattern though.

Just ordered myself half a aromatic duck and some munchy stuff for OH when he gets back in.

Not really a fan of spicy food.
  • Oooh those scones sound fab Teenie, chuck one down this way will you? :rotfl:

We can't make up our mind about the nursery, or rather I can't! I'm going to have another look at wallpapers and stuff I think. And we need to clear the room out, has got soo much stuff in.

Perdi, how are you doing now hon?

EA, glad you got sorted with the nice midwife in the end. Out of the 3 times I've been to the clinic at the hospital, twice we've waited for an hour.

DP, try going into your account and make sure it says you're signed up for the parenting club.

Lauren hope things start moving for you.

I feel dodgy tonight. I think it's a combination of tiredness and catching a bit of a chill when I was out earlier. Got my wool though which is good, I'll make start on the blanket tomorrow.

DH spoke to his parents earlier and they're going to pay for our pram. :T My parents have bought loads too, we're really lucky.

My mum is knitting about 3 things for miss bump at the moment!

I'm off back to bed, but I'll pop back on later.
 Mummy to an amazing little girl

Aw looking forward to seeing everyones nurseries, I am a bit jealous when I hear of everyone buying things for the nursery and deciding on themes etc but I had my turn of doing that with DD and in a way it's nice to just sit back this pregnancy and not have to worry (and pay ;)) for these things.

Dusty regarding the drawers, I was like that too, it is a very exciting time, enjoy!:D

Now I was thinking about this tonight, I know one of the supposed eviction methods is spicy food, but do you really want to be eating something hot and spicy to set off labour! The polish girl on OBEM was erm "clearing herself out" a lot in labour, imagine if you had a spicy one....I could just imagine an explosion of spicy poo everywhere :o

It's so exciting isn't it?! Yup, def need to get out more - the smallest baby thing excites us now!!!! Lol

You have to make sure you post a piccie up of yours :)

MIL said she will help me put the baby clothes away - but I think she'll have a coronary when she realises just how much I've got - ooops :o
