Is anyone else around?!
I just woke up. I either had a BH or a contraction about 30 mins ago, but ignored it. Just had another one, rather quite painful, went to loo and got my show :j I know a show means nothing though. But now I'm in limbo as to whether I'm in super early labour or not and whether to cancel my party tomorrow!!
So got up to have a wander and move around to see if the contractions stop like last night. I'll give it 30 mins and then get back to bed, although I am totally wide awake right now.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -

Dont know whether to buy lactulose or fybogel thoughI have fybogel. I find it gets things moving really quickly and doesn't taste too bad. Although the thing that usually makes me go is just a cup of milky coffee
Fybogel is not to bad to drink if you drink it very quick. But you have to drink lots of fluid over the day for it to work, otherwise you'll make the problem worse. I prefer it because it's more natural, but personally I find it takes a couple of days to work.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
OK. Nothing. Nada. Must have been a BH. Going back to bed. Looks like my party is still on tomorrow.Baby Giz born 6/2/110

ooh found this:
from: http://www.naturalbirthandbabycare.com/starting-labor.htmlSome people believe that a "bloody show" is different than a plug - a "show" is mucous that is tinged with blood (from tiny capillaries that break as the mucous pulls away from the cervix.)
A show may mean that labor is closer - think 48 hours or so. If you're having crampy Braxton-hicks and also have a show it can mean things are starting.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Morning bumpy ones.
Been awake since 2, so eventually gave up and came downstairs. I think it's going to be a long day today.
It's been very windy here too which hasn't helped me get to sleep. yaaaaaaawwwwwwnnnn.
Sproglet still seems content to stay put :j. May it be that way for another 12 days until my coldsore has healed up (and we might have finished some decorating).
I'm jealous of all the nurseries that you've finished. Ours is a junk room at the moment, with no hope of being done in the next 4 months at all
Well, I've been trying not to scratch my tummy for aaaaaagges due to the stretch marks and making them sore, but I just had a little tiny scratch. Mmmmmmmmm blisssss. But also. OW. Now I want to have another scratch. Must resist.....If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:0 -
I'm up too early for a Saturday. Ds woke us up by shining a torch in our eyes at 6:20am ! I knew he'd be up early as he was sent to bed at 5:30pm for being naughty and was asleep 5minutes later.
Giz I hope baby stays put until you have your party. Typical for baby to make an appearance when you have something special to go to.
RBG enjoy your baby shower later.
Im off to make some porridge for ds and myself.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Morning lovelies x
Ooh Giz it does sound like things are starting, looks like you might have a gate crasher at the party!
DD woke me up at 6.00am Nic, yelling from her bed like Lady Muck.
((hugs)) hngrymummy - I know that feeling well, hope you manage to get some rest later.
Have a great baby shower RBG.
Off into town today to buy my big knickers and all that jazz, so hopefully by the end of today my bag will be packed! :j
Oh on the subject of packing bags, I note on the list there is only 2 of vests and babygros. I really recommend you pack more, say 4 of each.
Happy due date ontheedge:heart2:Baby boy due 4th March 2011:heart2:0 -
Good Morning!
*Fingers crossed* for you giz
Managed to get to sleep about midnight due to OH keeping me up, despite me saying I really wanted to be in bed at 10 by the latest. 6am DD wakes up demanding milk and has now gone back to sleep. But I have heartburn! So I cant go back to sleep. And I know it will take about 1 hour for the meds to do anything for me:(:( *Sulks!*
Hope the day gets better from here on in.
((hugs)) hngrymummy and hope coldsore heals quicklyYou, me, Hitchins and nic are awake far too early for a weekend. (assumes giz is back in bed asleep)

Yay for Party tomorrow Giz, maybe baby has decided to leave it a bit so you can enjoy it!
No scratching hngrymummy! Have you tried a cold facecloth on it? The couple we saw last night had the most gorgeous nursery, everything finished and all little touches like she'd made curtains herself and matching bunting on the walls! Ours is still waiting for the skirting boards, then carpet, then we can finally get the furniture delivered, don't think I have the time or skill to make things myself for it (altho did get lovely curtains off eBay and a spare set in the same design thinking in theory I could make them into something!)
Nic, boo to your DS trick with the torch but yum to porridge, can you make some for me too? Far too windy and dark to get out of bed yet!!
OH has done loads of the skirting boards yesterdayI actually think we might be able to get upstairs finished in the next couple of weeks :j:j then we have more to do downstairs, but really I'm waiting for upstairs to be sorted to get things ready for bubs. Once that's done we can cope, just not got anywhere to put baby clothes and even the Moses basket would be a squash at the mment!
