    Morning all,

OH went to work about half six and haven't been able to get back to sleep. Managed to sleep OK while it lasted though!

Giz - hope baby stays put for party!
  • Good morning :) Not sure why I bothered going to bed last night considering how little sleep I got. I'm taking DS swimming this morning. He used to love it but for the last year has refused to go. A new pool has opened locally, he's seen the photos & has agreed to go. Hopefully it will go well & I can book him in to swimming lessons there after school.

I'm not doing a nursery. The baby will sleep in with us until he's at least 6 months old. The cot is next to the bed & thankfully we have a big enough room that we are not all squashed in. Eventually he will be moved in to share with DS.

Morning...I went back to bed. Had contractions once an hour, going to every 45 minutes, to 30 minutes to 15 minutes and am now on about every 10 minutes. Although since getting out of bed they seem to have slowed down again.

I lost my plug - there's definitely no mistaking that! And have been emptying my bowels :o so surely this is it? I've got my TENS machine on now and will have to cancel my party.

I have like 48 cupcakes and no one to eat them!

I've definitely had what I'd call a show rather than the mucus plug. It was egg white discharge tinged with blood. Not the gelatinous glob that people describe as the plug. Will be interesting to see if labour starts in 48 hours then. Am trying to remain calm though as I don't want to be disappointed if I still have another 10 days to wait.

Exciting!! Sounds like things are now moving. But hope you get your party first! But now I'm confused, I thought a show and plug were the same thing *confused*

I'm up too early for a Saturday. Ds woke us up by shining a torch in our eyes at 6:20am !

DD woke me up at 6.00am Nic, yelling from her bed like Lady Muck. :(

    :eek::eek:naught children lol. Don't they know it's a weekend?!

I hope everyone is well. Hngrymumy - Sorry for the itchy tummy. Does a nice warm bath help? Our nursery room was a spillover wardrobe/spare room/junk room for 4 years until we got it sorted. We have a 2 bed house, so had to move the cr*p somewhere lol

RBG - Enjoy your baby shower. I'm very jealous! And if you have any of the sweetie jars left over can I have one please? :D

Right, best get bathed and dressed and take the dog out. Still windy here today - don't know where it's come from!

    Catch you later ladies x

going up and down stairs (forwards, sideways or on your bum), bouncing on a ball or just walking are supposed to encourage contractions (apparently). Sending labour vibes so you get to meet baby soon :D

Giz - so exciting, but sorry about the party. Take the cakes with you :)

Thanks honeypop, it helps to read your experiences. I'm seeing the midwife first week of March so I'll see how I am then.
GL - I had a reasonable night's sleep and a slow morning today so feeling a bit better. We've booked a night away in a nice hotel in a couple of weeks time.

Orange Fybogel really isn't that bad, I was taking it before so get it on prescription for free. As Giz said you do need to make sure you drink lots of water throughout the day.
  • Morning, still half asleep but good luck Giz! Hope all goes well and I'll have a cupcake! Xx
