I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

  • Getting in and out of car is a pain, and actually driving hurts a bit too.

Make sure you go to GP a.s.a.p to get contact details for physio. I have had to wait 3 weeks to see one. Got my first appointment on Tuesday and really hoping they can help me.

Makes me so down to be stuck in the house all day. I hate it :(

My GP told me not to drive :( She said if it was hurting to place my foot on the clutch to change gear, then my reactions wouldn't be good or quick enough to stop in an emergency, and to think about how I would feel if it was one of my children running out in front of someone's car if the driver wasn't quick enough to react. I'm gutted about it really, as I couldn't drive last time as I hadn't done my lessons. I thought this time the one positive would be that I would be able to drive, so less need to walk!

I'm still waiting for my physio appointment to come through.

I also hate being stuck in all day - it's so boring!

Thanks, I had misunderstood and thought she meant to make up the time missed. That'll teach me to post as I'm catching up instead of waiting till I've read all the way through.

  • Congratulations SJP I'm not at all bitter that you beat me ;)

I'm still here, although baby keps teasing me. Had painful contractions this morning between 1:30 and 2am. Decided not to wake DH as he'd need his sleep if it was anything, then thought I should go back to sleep too. Woke up this morning, and it'd all stopped again. Deep sigh.

Come on baby. Mummy's had enough of this teasing for now. Although I do need to just send a drawing in to work, so you can wait till that's done if you like.

Ooo. Due South is on. Nice 'scenery' :D

    PPI Party Pooper
    Hi Guys

Having a poo day today (not literally!! :D). Came into work and was begging the tears to stay in :o. Just emotional I guess, didn't help that DD was playing up before nursery and I ended up really shouting at her and I felt bl00dy awful, she's only 3 !!!!!! :( We were 'friends' again before she went in as I don't like leaving her without big kisses and hugs if words have been said, but I came to work feeling like crap and she went in laughing and smiley as per usual! Before I had children I couldn't understand parents being upset because they had fallen out with their child, I used to think for goodness sake get a grip, how you life changes......for the better I may add! :)

Also came in today and because I am showing the person who is replacing me, my job, I had very little work to do. I am just not one for sitting around twiddling my thumbs at work, I really need to be kept going the whole time, so that hasn't helped. Just silly things I suppose :o Feel exhausted now which hasn't helped by me being sick a couple of times so far. Poor me boo hoo hoo LOL Sorry ladies what a moan I'm being! :o

Never mind it's nearly the weekend and after this Sunday I only have another 4 Sundays to go at my other job. Think I only have 22 working days at this job which is kind of scary. 30 weeks tomorrow

I must apologise this has been a very self indulgent post....sorry :(

No worries just didnt want anyone else thinking that employers had to give a day off or anything because unfortunately they dont - Most will but if they ask you to go back unfortunately you are at an obligation unless your appt runs longer iyswim

Employers are obligated however to give you adequate time to get to and from an appts and must pay you for that time. They can request to see official docs to prove you were there alse.

Yes I'm quite annoying too apparently! :rotfl:
Some people do suddenly appear to think they have a right to know these sorts of things when you are expecting.

I hate the questions I get from work colleagues who I hardly know on a personal basis - things like 'was it planned?' and questions about the birth and suchlike.
Everybody has an opinion too whether they have kids or not.

I tend to be a bit cagey too - but the less you volunteer you more questions you get asked
What I don't get is the way some people really press you for detailed answers. I'll ask people when they're due and if they know whether it's a boy or a girl but if they just give a month or they don't tell me the gender when they know I don't then demand more detail.

Lol you are pregnant too hun so if you do shout it is because of the emotional carp running round your body....plus kids get over it quite easily imho shes prob forgotten all about it 2 seconds after lol however parents can feel guilty about these encounters for weeks after ......as they get over i think kids use that to their advantage :rotfl:

Sorry youve had a carp day ((hugs))
