Hey! - YOU are challenged to produce some "evidence" for your position. We have a whole forum of evidence and experience already here - incl Airports and other such places which you are clearly too lazy or willfully pig-ignorant to read.
DO NOT! try to turn it on anyone else until you can prove what you say!0 -
Actually Jamie - don't bother.
Just stop trying to confuse and mislead people who may be under quite some stress/duress due to your chums actions.
I've just found your last trolling episode here, when you tried to defend Parking Eye - You didn't face the facts, nor educate yourself then and you ran away from the thread, so you clearly won't bother now.0 -

Wrong!!!
As I said, I'm playing devils advocate. And I am suggesting that advice is sought from people who really do know about the laws involved, and how they can differ at airports. But as yet nobody has actually come forward who is legally trained, and knows about the subject.
Now as the OP hasn't told us exactly where they parked, then I assume that it was either on the very short bus lane, or in the bus stop it's self.
Both of these areas are close to airport buildings, are security sensitive, would cause obstructions, and are just the other side of the roundabout from the passenger drop off/pick up area.
If you stop in either this bus lane, on the roundabout, or in the bus station, you will find armed police will pounce on you very quickly. Now as the police have powers on this private property, then there is a chance that those powers extend to controlling parking in restricted areas. So could the parking company act on behalf of the police?
I will be doing some work at the airport soon, so I'll see what I can find out.0 -

When are you going to come up with proof, that applies to airports?0 -
No Jamie - I don't have to prove anything well enough discussed here already and I've already pointed you at clear evidence you are wrong. However YOU are welcome to put-up or shut-up or stop trolling/stooging.
Are you going to be working with your namesake in APCOA perhaps?0 -

How can I be wrong??? I'm not the one making a statement, I'm asking people who do actually have any expertise to tell us. Whereas you are just coming out with the same generic advice that applies to an Asda car park.
That is not trolling, as you suggest. And no I have nothing to do with any car parks. If I did, then do you think it would be in my interest to tell people to find out for certain before they ignore letters?0 -

That's nothing to do with this case. It was in the drop off/pick up area. And their story didn't even add up.0 -

You are obviously so pig ignorant that you can't be bothered to watch the videos, one of which has a legally qualified solicitor in it. The people here and on pepipoo have been advising on this situation for years. This situation at Luton airport is no different than anywhere else.
We know this is a money making racket, we know that these companies are just interested in making money off often illegal tickets, we know that these companies routinely lie, break codes of practice, and disability laws just so they can make money. At Luton airport, or Stansted or Liverpool John Lennon, West Midland it's the same, private parking companies in it for the cash.
You mention about busses , that would be a bigger security risk than a vehicle, how easy would it be to leave a bag under a seat with explosives ? The fact is that if someone was determined to terrorise there is not a lot that can be done, recent events can attest to that.
You can play devils advocate all you want, but the fact is you have no idea at all what you are talking about, you have no knowledge in this field, you are an utter layman, and have nothing really constructive to add, when you leave this thread things will go back to the advice being offered like on other threads. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Quite simple
2011
1.8m fake tickets issued - Source the Home Office
Source - a FOI request to the courts on BPA AOS members
845 claims to the small claims
49 before a judge
25 wins for the motorists
24 wins for the entire parking industry
Source - the BPA and parking companies
About 35% of tickets are not paid, so circa 630k ignored tickets.
Now tell us what are your sources for not ignoring letters from scammersWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
