I just thought you might like to read a letter from G White solicitors,

My clients are now offering you a final opportunity to arrange settlement of the amount due or provide me with the information as to who was driving the car at the time, I intend to seek my clients instructions to apply for an Application to court under Civil procedural Rules 31.16- Before Proceedings Start.
The effect of this orderwill be to involve you in any legal proceedings raised by my clients in connection with this debt.
31-16 3 The court may make an order under this rule where
[a] the respondent is likely to be a party to subsaquent proceedings.

    [c]
[d] disclosure before proceedings have started is desirable in order to.
1 disclose fairly ot the anticpeted preceedings
2 assist the dispute to be resolved without preceedings or save costs.
I do feel it is important for you to understand that although you as the registered keeper, my not have been the driver at the time, you would come within the definition of LIKELY to be a party to any predeedings.
A This is now different they need you to tell them who was driving,
B If they are not taking me to court who are they taking.
C If you as I have started to get phone calls contact you provider in my case BT you can put a block on there number. Its free for the first month then £3.70 thereafter up to you how long you keep it.

I have not replyed to any mail or phone calls I suggest you do the same, it costs them money to go to court they are out to make it not throw it away on a case the are very likely to lose.
If they do lose nobody will pay them,

...which doesn't apply to the small claims track.

Hi! We have received today this notice of intended litigation from Graham White Solicitors for £207.25 on behalf of Apcoa Parking. 3 months since "the offense". The funny thing is that it is only the second letter (first one was 2 weeks ago and without a warrant issue fee) ) we receive as we had problems with our royal mail services and I don't know what they are exactly claiming it for but we deffinately paid the 1-pound charge at the airport. But I feel like I don't even want to know what it is for and don't want to appeal. Hope everything said here is true and they are not going to proceed. Don't want to waste my time replying them. Oh, and yes. if the original penalty was £80, that's quite a profit they want to make within 3 months
    Thanks everyone for sharing

Just ignore all letters if they start to ring you go to your phone provider in my case bt you can put a stop from any calls from them its free for the first month then £3.70 thereafter in my case i stoped it after 1 month. You owe them nothing if you did they would have taken you to court right from the begining, enjoy your xmas and get on with your life. This info goes for every private parking company .

I do hope that I get my Court hearing before I go on my holidays in March. I could do with the extra cash when they lose I can then take legal proceedings on my return.
So please G White/Apcoa/Roxburghe stop all the threats on what you are going to do it then when you lose all the other people you have coned over the years can take you to Court and reclaim there money. And with a bit of luck put people like you out of business

    regards

    Barrister of Law

Ps If anyone does get to go to court contact me I am a Barrister of Law I will represent you free of charge.

  • Hi Guys - I've had Roxburghe on today wanting to send me photo's of my incident at Luton nearly a year ago !

This is after 4 months of no contact !

Presume I'm well within my rights to ignore this ? or should I reply asking them to politely go away ?!
