Thanks for stopping by Cath, BW and Cookie.
It's been a busy week and I've got a few wekend jobs to get on with but I'm looking forward to sitting down with a cuppa and catching up on a few diaries later.

Well I've finally been able to get a little MSE time. It's been a busy weekend - but in a good way. I batch cooked some beetroot burgers yesterday, planted some tomato seeds and repotted some rootbound plants. Then I spent this morning deep cleaning the kitchen, ironing, cleaning the chooks and doing some washing before going to my Mum's this afternoon. Ive managed to squeeze in a bit of schoolwork as well as some reading time so it's been productive. I've also sorted my finances out which I don't seem to have had time to do since payday and I must admit I feel a bit more settled now that the money shuffle has been done!
Tomorrow I'll be making my monthly op of just over £600 and hopefully I can add a bit more to it through the month. I've also got £30 worth of vouchers on their way so once they hit my account I'll be splitting the total between the op pot and the living room fund. I'm getting there slowly but surely.
Have a good evening.

Well it's been another hectic week at work - just another week and a bit until the Easter holidays thankfully.
I've spent most of the weekend working and trying to get on top of things so that I don't have to do too much during the holiday. I managed to get out for a walk in the sunshine today which was lovely. I'm really pleased that the warmer weather is on its way - it's been missing for far too long. I can't wait to get out in the garden during the hols
I made my op earlier this week so that's another £600 off the mortgage.I've also redeemed £40 from tcb which I'll share between the op pot and living room fund once it arrives and I've made £13 on a mb. After a bit of spreadsheet fiddling it looks like I'm still on course for being mortgage neutral next year, as long as life doesn't decide to throw a spanner in the works.
Ooh and in other news...wait for it...I've finally sorted some bedroom curtains! :T:T:T They were quite expensive (thankfully not £750 though!) but they are beautiful, black tree silhouettes embroidered on a silvery grey background. They'll arrive in 6-8 weeks - I can't wait.I've also taken up an offer from H0tpoint as I have one of the 'fire hazard' tumble-driers. They've offered me a brand new replacement for £99 and that includes delivery as well as taking my old tumble-drier away. Considering my old one is almost 10 years old, it seems like a bit of a bargain.
So it's been a bit of a spendy week but they were well planned and considered purchases so I'm not complaining.

 Evening MG
You sound like you have had a productive weekend. :T Well done getting the curtains sorted and I agree the tumble drier swap seems like a good deal. Also well done for being on target for mortgage neutral next year - very exciting!
Hope you have managed to find some time to chill out in between jobs
Here's wishing you a good (and hopefully less hectic) week

Just reading about your dryer offer, I've gone back to look at mine (having originally decided to wait for the repair as it's due in May) and they've added the same condenser dryer deal as yours (was just vented)...it's making me think I should grab it too - my one is 10 yrs old.
Your curtains sound fab - investment spendsBack on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -
Thank you BW and Ali.
Just over a week until I get my new tumble drier - very excited.
Work has been really manic - meetings and lots of paperwork to do (not to mention coursework ). I was dreading the week before it even started, so I'm pleased to see the back of it. Just 4 more days to go before the holidays. My plan for this week is to get the first rough draft of my assignment done, then hopefully I can just tweak it in the holidays. It's a research proposal so I'm feeling a bit out of my depth, give me an essay any day - it's so much easier to witter on.
I feel a bit unmotivated today, however I have just made a chocolate cake to use up some condensed milk that was hanging around in the fridge (nothing at all to do with its chocolatey, cakey goodness). I might get out into the garden a bit later and pot up some of the sweet peas, they've been rather neglected over the past few weeks and are in need of some tlc. Hopefully the sun will come back out.
I made a small op earlier this week and have had £65 hit my account in the form of vouchers and cashback, so those have been shared between my op pot and living room fund. I've got a mb on the go so hopefully I'll have some more to add soon. Nothing seems to be shifting on fb at the moment and I've got a stash of treasures to get rid of, I suspect that carboot sales will be the way forward.
There's been more spreadsheet fiddling and I've decided to reduce my op's by £100 until the living room is done. I'm budgeting £3000 but I'm aware that it could be more and want to rely on my ISAs as little as possible. So I've tweaked my spends a little - I'll be squeaking when I walk soon! :rotfl:
Have a lovely Sunday,

Does it have an internal light?

Sorry to hear things have been really busy for yo.u. Not too long to go though until you get a break. I've only got a 5 day break but I can tell you I cannot wait for it. The next 3 days are gonna drag I just know it
