Oh I know, he's getting old bless him. Very well behaved for a stray/feral cat. He actually follows me if he sees me leave the house and sat at my Nanna's window miaowing for half an hour when I went round for a cuppa yesterday. I do get a few comments as I walk down the street when people see me 'walking the cat'.
Oh i remember those candy letters, the ones we used to get when I was little always tasted of perfume. I got some cinder toffee, fudge and nougat (not all for me, honest). Refused to pay £3 for a small bag of brandysnap...not sure if that's classed as being MSE or tight?

Ooh I like that, think I might use that phrase more often.

Ooh two posts in one day, that must be a first for me. :rotfl: Got home to an email saying that webuyb00ks had sent me my payment so that just over £6.00 to add to the op pot. I also received £1.80 from a free offer on ge0lotto - I know it's not called that anymore but the new name escapes me. I've also requested just over £7.00 in Am@zon vouchers from tcb from a bookies sign-up offer, so that will be going towards Christmas pressies. And I managed to get my Nanna a set of 6 books for £10 from the bookclub at work, so they'll be going in her Christmas box. So moneywise it's been a pretty profitable day. I also realised that I've got a huge stash of batch cooked goodies in the freezer so tonights super easy and tasty tea was lentil bolognese - cheap, easy and delicious. Tomorrow will be a tuna jacket potato and salad - not a freezer meal but it needs using up.
Time to go and read my eyelids. Night all.

Tired tonight. Had a two hour round trip to the hospital this afternoon and I think it's finished me off. It wont be long before I'm reading my eyelids.
Received a £10 voucher from c0nsumer pulse today. They've also emailed to say they're looking for new members so if anyone would like to be referred then do let me know. They're one of my faves and I often get between £10 and £20 per month from them. i've also got an Am@zon voucher from tcb. So tomorrow i'll transfer the equivalents in the op pot and pay it off.
Just one more day to go until half term - yay! I'm really looking forward to a break, it's been a chaotic and stressful half term. We're going away for a few days and I can't wait. I'm also looking forward to spending some time fiddling with my spreadsheet and seeing how I can bring my mf date forward - initially I was hoping it'd be next August. Will have to get my thinking cap on.
Night all.

The half-term break is finally here! :j We're going away for few days on Monday so my plans for the weekend are to get all the housey jobs done and pack. I've got a load of washing in already and i'm hoping that the rain holds off so that I can get it dried outside.
Other exciting news - i'm just about to make my first Christmas cake of the year. I like to have plenty of time to 'doctor' them with brandy.
I'll be back to catch up with everyone's diaries later.

Morning MG
:T wooohooo for getting to half term. I hope you have a fab break
BW x0 -
Thank you BW.
It certainly has been a busy one.
Just stopped for a break. So far today I've done 3 loads of washing, got 2 dried - had to use the tumble drier as the rain decided to arrive an hour after I'd got the first load on the line, I've baked a Christmas cake, dusted, changed the bed, started to pack and done some ironing. So it's been busy, busy, busy.
I've made a £24 op from the various bits that had been gathering in the op account. Next month will be exciting as my total amount owed on the mortgage will begin with a 3! :j At the moment it looks like I'll be about £800 off my £11k op target for the year, which isn't bad at all considering that I knew I was going to be really pushing myself. I'm going to keep on going and see what I can do, hopefully I'll get a bit closer. :money:
