  • Thank you BW. Yes, it was a really lovely day.

I've been busy catching up on housework and schoolwork today, as well as a quick mb so hopefully I'll be £20 up by the end of the day. Managed to get a few bits done in the garden when the sun finally came out and I've just had a lovely veggie stir-fry made mainly with home grown goodies. Just popped a rhubarb crumble in the oven too - nom nom!

Can't believe it's Monday tomorrow - time flies!

    Your ring sounds beautiful.
Quite jealous of your crumble - sounds lovely.

  • Thanks for stopping by BW and cookie. :) The crumble was lovely - my rhubarb supply has virtually gone now so it looks like it'll be apple crumbles from now on.

I'm so pleased that the rain has been replaced with glorious sunshine this weekend, I've made the most of it and dried my washing on the line - very novel for October. We had a lovely day out shopping yesterday, we didn't buy anything, just had a wander around the shops, stopped for some lunch and enjoyed the sunshine. It was so nice to relax after a hectic week at work. And we got a wave from the lady in the jewellery shop that I bought my ring from last week - that's the difference between small, family run business and high street shops, they have a much more personal feel to them. I've been back on it today, doing coursework and a few bits of housework too - Monday's just come around too quickly. I wonder if I can get a student card with it being a university course?

I've just made a small op of £16 from a survey payout. There's a few more that will be ready to pay out soon so things are ticking over nicely. I haven't had time to do any mb-ing this weekend but I hopefully have a few free spins set up for tomorrow so fingers crossed I might get lucky.

I've been trying really hard to use things up and eat as seasonally as possible. I quite fancied a chicken balti the other night but remembered I had some mushrooms that needed using up so made a mushroom balti instead. It was surprisingly delicious, in fact I think I preferred it over the chicken one I usually make, so I'll definitely be adding it to my regulars list.

Hope you're having a good weekend.

  • Morning all - from a windy and chilly home on the coast, brrrrrrr. Thought i'd do a quick morning update as work is manic at the moment and I only seem to get time to read through the diaries on here in a morning.

I received a £15 voucher from sb yesterday which will be used for Christmas pressies and the equivalent transferred to the op pot. I also received £10.45 from Pr0lific Academic and sold a book on Am@zon for a £9.00 profit, which seems good for Am@zon at the moment.

My car insurance renewal came through at just over £360  so I searched online and have managed to get it reduced to £230 (hopefully with £40 cashback) :money:

Time seems to be really flying, half term is almost here and it's almost time to start making Christmas cakes again. Life is a busy mix of work and coursework at the moment but I just keep telling myself that it's only for a year and it will be worth it in the end.

    Have a lovely Thursday,

    Hi MG

I completely agree about time flying - it's just seems to be whizzing along at the moment!

:T nice saving on the car insurance. I'm not looking forward to getting my renewal in January in view of the accident I had earlier this year :( Will definitely be a need to shop around I suspect

    Have a super Saturday hun

  • Thanks BW. :)Keeping my fingers crossed that your renewal isn't too much. Been quite a busy Saturday so far doing the usual housework jobs and some schoolwork - feel like such a teenager saying that! ;) Just having a break and then will get back to the grindstone.

I've managed to get the washing dried outside, it's sooo windy! We went to the local fair last night, didn't go on any rides, in fact we mainly went for the food, pie and peas and lots of sweeties - nom, nom, nom. I discovered this morning that while we were out enjoying ourselves my little snugglepuss had decided to relieve himself in the bath (thankfully it wasn't a number two!). It was my fault really as I should have put him put when I got home from work, but he looked so cozy that I left him in while I went to the fair. Anyway, this morning I noticed the pawprints and a tiny pool around the plughole - he really doesn't like using his litter tray, but I'm thankful that he chose to go somewhere 'sensible' and not just all over the carpet! Sorry, just realised that's probably tmi!

I've done a mb today, not for a huge amount but had a £10 free bet so I'm hoping to get about £9.00 back. Fingers crossed.

That's about it. It's all been work, work, work recently so I'm feeling pretty dull. Half term soon though - yay!

    Have a good Saturday.

What a clever furbaby you have for picking such a sensible place!

The fair sounds like fun. I've not been to one for years - in fact probably not since I lived at home as a youngster (more years that I want to admit :p) My favourite sweets were the little candy letters...:D

Make sure you get some chill time
