It was really great Sellotape. I was surprised how small it was, but they crammed a lot into a tiny space. The cafe wasn't overpriced either - £3.00 for an ice-cream milkshake and £5.99 for a dipping pot dessert - you got loads and they boxed up what you couldn't eat for you to take home. I was quite impressed.

  • So today has been slightly more productive than yesterday. I got up early and made another Christmas cake, the house smells sooo yummy. I tackled the holiday washing and got it mostly line dried and had some quality family time with my loved ones. I also had a bit of good luck, I had a small flutter on the horses and took a chance on a 20/1 football accumulator and ended up walking away with a £12 profit. Grandad would have been proud as we spent many Saturday afternoons having a bet and watching the races. We never spent huge amounts, just 25p here and there but it was good fun and has left me with many happy memories. I'm going to use the £12 as my 'fun flutter fund' and see how far I can stretch it out.

I've also cashed out another voucher from CP which will be going into my xmas pressie stash and I've requested another voucher from sw@gbucks. So once they arrive that'll be another £25 that I can add to the op pot. :) Oh and I'm in the process of trying to rescue some very sickly looking chilli plants that have being attacked by whitefly - yak! I'm hoping that I can get the beasties under control and then bring the plants inside to help them survive the winter - fingers crossed.

Time to read my eyelids. Night all.

  • Whoop! Whoop! Won £5 on the Th*nderb@ll last night - was the first time I've played it too. With that and the sunshine, it's been a lovely start to the day.

Aww BachSoon, thank you so much for your kind words :o (although I'm surprised that you're still awake after reading my ramblings). I feel like I'm really starting to get somewhere now and see the impact of my efforts after plugging away at it for years. But it's definitely worth it and it's shaped my outlook on life (and spending ;)).

  • Not much to report this weekend. Work has been busy as usual and yesterday was spent doing housework and coursework, I did light some candles to try and lift the dullness a little bit. The highlight of the day was getting the washing dried outside. :rotfl:

Today will be spent doing more coursework, cleaning the chooks, ironing and tidying the kitchen - joy. I'm going to crack on and get as much as I can done before lunchtime.

In money-making news I received a £10 voucher from CP and have redeemed £50 from Y0uG0v. I've also got 6 months free Am@zon Pr1me as I'm now a 'student'. Will transfer the relevant bits to the op pot in due time.

    Have a good Sunday.
