I've been having the heating on day and night, most unlike me, but I'm sick of freezing. My last last months worked out at £40 a month for gas, electric, so I reckon I'd rather spend it to be comfortable.
If it's any consolation, we're in Spain and have just put heating on for first time of the year :(.

    Hi MG
Just popped in to say thinking of you 'cos I FINALLY managed to do a survey on Pr0lific earlier. Only a tiny one - 50p :( - I keep missing them as too late or screened out, but it does look good if I could only catch the bigger ones, so thanks again for the suggestion :)
Hope you are keeping warm and dry

  • I'm baaackkkkk! :D Thank you BW, Hollyboll and Sarahevie for stopping by. It's been a manic few weeks as I've been trying to write an essay alongside the normal busyness of work and on top of all that the lurgey struck and left me sniffing and sneezing and generally feeling grotty. I'm on the mend now though and have finally got my essay ready to hand over for proof-reading. Phew!

Alongside that, life has been ticking by and I'm looking forward to getting organised for Christmas this week as I still have presents to wrap and cards to write. I had a stroke of luck the other day and won a massive Christmas hamper containing lots of yummy treats, so that'll cut down on my festive food shop. :T

I've received about £40 worth of vouchers since my last update, all of which have been added to the op pot. And I've made an op of about £600 this month. I've had a little think about my plans for next year but need to do some spreadsheet fiddling before I commit.

Right, time for a cuppa and to catch up on some diaries.

    Hello MG

Lovely to see you back and that you are over the lurgy. Congrats on the hamper win and the stonking OP for this month :T

Hope you get all your preparations finished and that you are having a stress free week.

    Do you finish on Friday?

    BW x
  • Thanks for your reply BW and apologies for my 'awolness' again - it was a rather hectic last week. Yes I finished on Friday - hooray! _party__party__party_ I'm so relieved to have a couple of weeks to relax and have some 'me' time. It's been a busy weekend so far with the usual pre-xmas housey jobs. There's still quite a bit to do but I've finally sat down for the evening with a snowball - yum, yum. I made a lush butternut squash curry for tea and have a couple of portions to freeze. :)

I'm hoping to have a grand declutter session this holiday. I've already got a bog box ready to fill with carboot goodies and I suspect a few bits and pieces will be going to the charity shop too. It feels lovely to have some time to do housey things after spending my evenings doing coursework for the past few months.

I'm also looking forward to having a bit of time to plan my mortgage free goals for next year - spreadsheet fiddling here I come!

Looking forward to catching up with everyone's diaries.
