Afternoon MG
I really wish I hadn't stopped by here when I am hungry ... your food sounds delicious! Must taste extra nice knowing that you have grown most of it yourself. What kind of crumble did you make? I had a hankering for an apple crumble last weekend and had to give in and make one
Regarding your breadmaker/breadpan - have you thought about looking on the Bay of E to see if someone is selling a secondhand one as a replacement or even a broken breadmaker so that you could have the pan from that?
Hope you are having a super Sunday

Oh MG you have inspired to do some cooking for the freezer. Using chives and basil in tonight's dinner but will get some extra basil to make tomato sauce for the freezer. Thanks for the inspiration!MFW 91 op 2014 £410/1000

Hi BW and cookie  Thanks for stopping by.
BW - it was a gooseberry crumble from the freezer so not too much effort involved. I always make a load and freeze them. Oooh apple crumble - yummy. Been busy picking apples from my Nanna's tree today and she currently has 3 massive boxes of apples in the garage so I think I may be making a few apple crumbles of my own soon - yum! Good idea on looking at bay of e - I have looked already but I will keep looking, I've also looked on the sticky tree website too.
Cookie - aww thank you. Hope you enjoy your batch cooking. I've just made up yet another batch of pasta sauce to use up yet more tomatoes, courgettes and squash. So that's another 3 portions to go in the freezer. I suspect that I'll start turning a certain shade of tomato red soon! :rotfl:

:rotfl: at the idea of you turning red
Not sure what model breadmaker you have but on the Bay of E there are some pans that are cheaper to have sent from the US... might be worth checking out in case?

Aww thanks BW! :grouphug: (sending a dodgy looking hug your way! :rotfl:). I've just has a little look but unfortunately mine isn't any of the cheaper ones - although they look very similar, hmmm. Mine's an SD-254 - probably one of the older models judging by what I've seen online but the eco-warrior in me doesn't want to get rid of it...although as sod's law (can I say that on here?) would have it, I have a niggling feeling that I'll invest in a new breadpan and the machine will break. Not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing that I'm making such a dilemma out of this.
I don't even think it's the money that's bothering me, more the fact of getting rid of something that's working perfectly fine...I think I've just made my own mind up about what to do! :rotfl:
Right enough breadpan talk! Time for some chocolate. :EasterBun

Good news! Whilst having tea at my Mum's yesterday she suddenly remembered that she'd kept the breadpan out of her old breadmaker (even though it didn't fit her new one). The good news is that it fits mine so now my breadmaker is fixed, free of charge. Feeling very MSE :money:
I've bought her a Y@nkee reed diffuser as a little thank you

Thank goodness it's Friday! I am soooo tired - and probably wont be long out of bed - what an exciting life I lead! I've whizzed through some housework tonight, updated my accounts after payday and sent my monthly op to my mortgage account, so that's another £650 off the total.
I had a pleasant surprise when submitting my meter readings online, I'm actually in credit so they've reduced my dd by just over £6.00... I've adjusted my op totals accordingly, but I do suspect that they'll be going up again once the cold weather arrives so I'll enjoy the savings while I can.
It's been an extremely busy week at work with lots of technology fails. I've had to attend an online seminar as part of my course and ended up not being able to hear what was being said due to a headset fail - joy. I just unplugged it and listened through the computer speakers but it meant that I couldn't join in as the microphone was connected to the microphone. Then I thought I'd completed the enrollment process but found I'd only completed the one for the company that's providing the course, not the university one (I thought they'd share the info but it seems that that isn't the case), so I've been busy enrolling online only to find that I can't select my modules as there's a system error, so I'm currently awaiting a response to my support ticket. So that means that I can't access any of my modules yet. Fingers crossed they sort it soon as I was hoping to have a look at them this weekend and try and plan my workload. There's eight to complete by the beginning of January so I need to get started really. As wonderful as technology is, sometimes I really hate it! Well maybe not quite hate it, but it's bloomin' frustrating!
On a positive note, I'm really loving my library subscription. I reserved some books that were on my Am@zon wishlist and they've arrived today. :jI suspect that I'll become a library convert, it'll save me a few pennies but also help me to keep my home clutter-free. Plus the free online magazines fabulous.

Morning MG :hello:
Well done on the OP, DD reduction and for finding a free replacement breadpan :T
Don't let the technology gremlins colour what has otherwise been a good weekIt will get sorted and then you will be flying again
Funny you should say about using the library more, as I've been doing the same for last few months. I find that it helps with my urge to buy more books as I get the same pleasure of looking for and selecting new reads but without the cost:p
Have a super Saturday whatever you are up to

Thank you BW.
I've had a lovely day today, I've been out shopping for a ring, my Grandad left me some money and I wanted to buy something special. I didn't expect to find anything today but ended up coming home with a beautiful white gold solitaire, it's stunning. My Mum came with me and we had a really nice girly day, just what the doctor ordered. I also got some trousers and a top for work, a mixture of being in the sale plus survey vouchers meant they only cost me £4.00 - bargain!
This evening has mostly been spent chilling, watching a film and completing a couple of surveys. I also came out £2.70 up on a deposit £5 get £5 offer, which will be going into the op pot as soon as it hits my account, every little helps. The plan for the rest of the evening is to get tucked up in bed with a book - bliss.
Have a relaxing evening.
