Good evening everyone.
well my shiny new washing machine arrived this morning swiftly followed by my lovely son-in-law Simon, who plumbed it in for me bless him.Its rather swish, and better than I remembered from last week.He ran a wash through it as reccommended and its so quiet It makes me realise how noisy the old one had become .
Then the postman arrived with a nice suprise for me ,my eldest DD had sent off to somewhere online and got me the sequel to Ken Follett's 'Pillars of Earth'.So tonight I shall start reading it.
Its called 'World Without End' and I'm really looking forward to it.I phoned her up to see how much I owed her, but she wouldn't take a penny bless her.She said it came from some second-hand online bookshop so it didn't cost a lot, but I am so pleased as she knows I really enjoyed the last one she bought me. As I had had two acts of kindness today I went to sainsbobs and bought my son-in-law a nice bottle of plonk as a treat for doing my washing machine and a box of choccies for my DD as a treat for being so thoughtful about the book.I am so lucky to have such a smashing family around me.
Then tonight my DGS Danny popped in with his girlfriend Chloe after they had been for a curry and were on their way home.Chloe has had her third interview to become a 'special' in the police force .she has been trying for quite awhile to get in and if successful will be doing it unpaid for 18 months to get experience and training to become a full time officer. Its what she has always wanted to do and I'm so pleased that she has got so far. In Kent you have to do your 18 months first before you are considered for a job She has been saving up for ages so she can do this without having to worry about supporting herself. They make a lovely couple and she is a dear little soul who worships my DGS and makes him very happy.
Right I'm now off to bed for an early night with 'Ken Follett'
Night night ,God bless all here

Just back from the Chinese.Lovely, night, just been on MSN with DS, checking out his CV, found a couple of errors, heaven knows how after half a bottle of wine and 3 bicardi and cokes, but seem to read OK but fingers not working too well.
His company has been taken over so will try his CV around to see if there are any openings with a better annual salary.
Had a great night. Fireworks good too.
