Morning all, back to work today as boss paid me yesterday! still managed to blitz the house! MUST get back on the OS train x

Just a minute what is DH/DP doing, just sitting and watching you? Sorry esmf, you need, include him in the routine, him doing, you showing him how and what to do, and ensuring he gets up with you in the morning so he can do that routine too, showing him else he will never be able to do it. Men are not incapable just crafty. You will make yourself ill trying to do both.

And, Taplady, am so glad the new consultant is a lovely lady and you know each other from previous appointments. It is so important to feel secure in these people but their bedside manner can often be very clinical!! Hugs, Silver x

thanks girls:) have had a little snooze, back up now to listen to DS1 on the radio and think about cooking tea.

    Afternoon Everyone

    Hi newbes :hello:

Well nothing much OS wise to report, weetabix + banana for breakfast, 2 poached eggs on toast for lunch, and Chinese tonight for their New Year. Most of the HW is up to date, DH sweeps round each day, and washing up to date (will just ignore the ironing mountain for now:o:o).

Been and had my roots done and hair trimmed and a eyebrow pluck and pedicure this afternoon, so feeling very pampered.

Special menu for 4 persons 18€ per person

    Chinese Appetizer
    Pekin Duck
    Sizziling Beef
    Prawn Garlic Chile :eek::eek:
    Chicken withh Fresh Asparagus
    Vegetables Chop Suey
    Fried Rice
2 bottles of wine (1/2 per person)
    or cold drink
    House Dessert
    Tea or Coffe

    Live Music & Fireworks

Glad everythings went well Taplady and Redruby glad things are moving with SS, the problem is often weekend and late shifts are made up by casual staff. I have found normal medical nurses do not have the slightest idea of dementia type illnesses, some even seem to think such things are below them.

    Take care all DG

other than that nothing else to report!

evening all were just about 2 have tea but i have a question i made some bread rolls and set a tea towel ove them instead of cling film (really need 2 get my hands on a shower cap) and it didn't rise i only just relised 20mins ago so i've put cling film on it now but i don't know if it's a lost cause now tbh :( why did it not rise with a tea towel? i was in a hurry and it seemed quicker lol, luckily i have a loaf if bread so we won't starve :)

hope u all had a nice day

    Hi all:j:j
Quick post from me, I'm now coming down with a cold. The twins have had it and my wife has it at the moment. Pluss a bad throut which she is on tablets for. I was awake most of the night with her coughing. So looks like it my turn to have it now.

Very long day at work again:eek:
Then I get back from work to find that the power lead on the laptop is broken and the batt if flat.:mad: so need to get a new lead now. I'm writing this my iPad.

Tap lady I hope that you are ok after today. And that your tests come back ok. All the best.

    Have a good evening everyone:j:j
:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j

I used to sniff at supermarket work (I worked at M & S but it wasn't really a supermarket where I lived) but I work for Sainsburys p/t now and it's not bad. I wouldn't say it lights my soul up with joy :rotfl: and I work on checkouts with added responsibility so at times I am like ARGHHH but it is good. From a MS POV they pay over the NMW and you get 10 - 15% off and there's a staff shop of damaged goods where you get things really cheap normally because the packaging is damaged. I buy packs of 8 meringue nests that are broken in the packet for 10p, cans for 10p and other bits and bobs for loads less (got the blister plasters I like for 75p the other day and they're £3.99 normally). Plus the people are really nice. I met my best friend, loads of other good friends and my bf there! The only downside is that you end up spending on odd bits and bobs you see on offer/feel you need that really you don't need. But if you left your purse at home that would solve the problem! Saying that you get all that at M & S but the staff shop has much more stuff and cheaper and the discount, when I was there, was 20%!

Lily I can't wait! January has been so depressing I need cheering up!

Agree wholeheartedly with working for supermarkets. My DD works p/t for Co-op and gets paid over the minimum wage and she only just 18. She gets a discount card and I have one too plus they seem very supportive employers and a very friendly team.

be a lot of you suffering at the moment :(

DD's ex BF texted her while she was in the pub last night
saying that if she didn't come and pick up everything
she's given him, pressies, cards, letters, clothes etc he was
going to burn it all  he really is a nasty piece of work
shes out with friends again tonight so she is keeping busy.
