But coming down nevertheless. I think that's about the same amount that I've managed to clear since this time last year so you are doing well. I've just upped my monthly DD by £25.

Have you tried PADding yet Mags? It's quite addictive :)

  • Hello Mags,

Just dropping by to say well hello really! And congrats on the ever lowering debt total!

I missed all the stuff about painter, seems really odd to me but I think I am so unfriendly to most men that it never occurs to me to speak to them in the first place! and I would have been so rude............(hmmm wonders if this could have anything to do with my "extreme Singleness"......)

I must remember to log in to OnePoll as well.

    take care

Well done you! Mine is coming down slowly too (I've much more than you too :o) but it's hard to pay it off any quicker and still have some sort of life - and plenty of shoes ;)
Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!

Horrible news on Monday, "toxic friend" called to say her mother has had a breast cancer diagnosis :( Not sure how bad it is yet.

She needs a masectomy because cancer has been found on both sides of the breast with none in the centre part. She has been told that removing parts from both sides would leave her disfigured looking so they are removing the whole lot and doing a reconstruction at the same time. Recovery time 2 months and no chemo or radiation required.

Sounds  but could be much worse and I feel really bad for her. Toxic friend is still being selfish and thinking mostly of herself as usual. Rather than being sympathetic or helpful she sees it as a big inconvenience and wishes she wasn't living at home due to the bad atmosphere this is creating.

Then she was talking about how we have to meet for lunch. I told her that she needs to wait until after her mother has had her surgery before she arranges social things.

Ya, I've tried so many things that have been recommended on here but I never seem to stick with any of them :wall:

    This evenings plan :)

Going to ring my mother in a few minutes when I finish here, then I'm going to Primark for a look around 6.30 pm when the Friday rush-hour traffic is gone. Later celeb big brother. I hope Sally doesn't get evicted.

Disappointed that Sally Bercow was evicted. I liked her but what I'm rather amused by is the way they spend half the day asleep wrapped in blankets hoodies and pyjamas. That's how depressed people behave but the celebs seem to be normalising that sort of behaviour.

I also think they shouldn't be allowed to smoke, they are always smoking and with loads of teenagers watching Big Brother it's not a good example to be setting.

Not sure why everyone loves Kerry Katona, I can't stand her.

They are so strange, I sometimes wonder what life will be like for them when/if they grow up. Hard to believe they are 19, it's like the others are there to babysit them or something. The adults sit aroud smoking and chatting while Jedward dance/play in another room :rotfl:

    Isn't Lucien 19 too? But he's a grown-up.

Ok I need to log off and go to bed, have mystery shopping and a million other things to do tomorrow.

Godnight people and I believe it's a bank hol weekend in the UK so enjoy. x

Saw One Day at the cinema today :) Enjoyed it but not quite as much as the book. I didn't cry but I did when I read the book. Wouldn't mind my very own Dexter ;)

@shoegal Are you still reading the book?
