are you sure its not the cambelt (timing belt) slipped out of alignment people?

That usually makes a huge clunking sound and if you continue to run the car it can permanantly damage the engine and need a complete rebuild.

I replaced my timing belt this year cost under £100
Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day, and for once I'm inclined to believe Withnail is right. We are indeed drifting into the arena of the unwell.

    hello

Ah right.....so i'm pretty stuck then. What do you think i should do or what normally happens? do you just try and get rid of the vehicle as broken or spares?? so confused.

    its done 67k and a 53 plate.

It really has zero value, forget getting it repaired. Bad money after good so to speak, ;)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

  • Hello

there are 4 images to look at on this link - http://imgur.com/tsjTT&lHG2l&B1uQFl&kVkne

    Thank you everyone
  • From the Pics it looks like the mounts failed and the engines possibly dropped towards the drivers side and the camwheels have lunched on the mount?

Engine looks as if its shifted forward and down on the r/h engine mounting. Does look like the mounting has collapsed. Repair cost would be dependant on why the engine mounting has collapsed, and whatever other damage it has caused!

If you got lucky at the least it would need an engine mounting, two cam sprockets, timing belt kit. And someone to fit them. However without seeing what else its damaged we can only guess!
  • Thanks Flying high

What you think on cost for something like this??
