Hi Copperboom
Fred I've climbed 330 foot up the virtual mountain today so that should take my total to 35050 -
SGTG - i think its 2200 to camp 1 on the picture, and 2430 on the graph, i guess it depends where exactly you want to pitch your tents! (or which route up the mountain its based on!).
I've obviously got my camp heights from somewhere different - I've now amended my figures to those of puddings so we're all working to the same figures.Oh forgot to ask sary lost the dyno soup recipe can you PM it to me again or what page was it on the thread so I can copy it down again?
This seems to be very popular - is it worth linking to the first post on the thread for reference in future threads?copperboom wrote: »Hi everyone.
I'm a long time lurker on the MSE forum, and I decided to post for the first time today because you all seem so lovely and supportive on this thread and I've decided that I really really am going to lose weight this time. I'm 23 in July, which seems scarily adult, and I want to be on my way to changing by then!
Hi and welcome :T0 -

Haha well ever since I was about 11 I've thought of 23 as adult - time to get a proper job and stop dying my hair crazy colours but I'm sure I'll change my mind once I actually turn 23!
I'm just looking for a job at the moment - I graduated about 2 years ago and I've been doing a lot of voluntary work but now I've run out of money and its time to join the world of work! You're right though, I find myself grazing all the time out of boredom.
Hello everyone else! Thanks for being so friendly0 -
Victory you're being very polite about what you call him - I'd call him a lot worse than that.
And if your Mum changed her will 2 weeks before she died he's not had long to lose it has he? I'd be very suspicious by now.
I'll add a link to the recipie on the front page if someone can tell me where it is:T0 -
Just popped in to say thinking of you Victory. xxx0

Need a shower so will read back later
Just got in from the gym. Did 1 hour on the crosstrainer burnt 612 calories (according to the machine) and 20mins on the bike (burnt 117 calories).
Weighed myself.
Last Friday, I was 10stones 5 Ibs. Today, I weighed in at 65.2 kilos (should have changed the scales to stones) so google tells me
65.2 kilograms = 10.2672425 stones
So, am I now 10 stones 2 Ibs or approximately 10 stones 3 Ibs??
Fred, I've either lost 2 Ibs or 3 Ibs. Either way, I'm good :j:j :rotfl:SECRET TO WINNING PRIZES:

Ah, what did you graduate in? I graduated 3 years ago this summer in business/tourism. No sign of a career yet but i have a job in the pipeline if i want it (but i don't really, but i do).0 -
Hi all,
Would you mind if I join you?
My BMI is around 22, and I only want to lose around 14- 21 lbs. I have been out of work since October after graduating in July, so days have mainly been spent sat around job searching, thinking about food and eating. I've found work now, and I start next week. Unfortunately it is an office job (not want I went to uni for, but hey it's a start) so it does mean more sitting around. However, I hope the fact I am busy will stop me thinking about food, and been away from home I won't just be able to grab food when I want. It's also not too far from home, and in Summer it will be a really nice 20 minute walk away.
I've recently cancelled the gym. My boyfriend signed us both up as his work runs a scheme to get membership cheap. I've realised the gym is just not for me. I was a member of a different gym last year and I had the same problem there, I just get bored!
I have tried a couple of body combat sessions but at the moment can't afford to do it. Last week I ordered 5 of the ten minute solutions exercise DVD's, and I've done 40 mins each day. I am getting a bit bored now. Hopefully when pay day comes I will get the wii fit plus and biggest loser games. I'm just trying to find something that keeps my attention.
Food wise, I'm trying to stick to 1400 calories or less, and I have been keeping a food diary which is really helping a lot. Typically I'm eating around 200 calories for breakfast (normally porridge), 300 calories for lunch which is usually something like a wholemeal pitta bread with tuna, or cous cous, and around 700 calories for tea. I am allowing myself 100 calories worth of sweet snacks a day, such as a little packing of Cadbury buttons. I've tried to stop chocolate and sweets completely, but I find I'm thinking about it all of them time and end up eating a huge bar instead.
So that's it. Looking forward to getting to know everyone0
