[QUOTE=alliwantistosave;41871922Puddings - glad you are back posting I thought we had lost you of the edge of Everest or something [/QUOTE]
erm thanks... the only mountain ive fallen off this week looks something like this :-)
Dietician appointment was not particularly informative but she does always get me thinking positive thoughts, so it's worth going every few weeks if only for that. The second meeting at the sports centre was pretty basic stuff, but at least i've committed to actually getting weighed in front of somebody each week:eek:... and i parked in the multi storey, climbed all the steps to the top, got the lift back to the bottom, and kept doing that over and over again until my hour parking ticket was up! So that might just become my new virtual everest instead of the twisty turney carpeted steps at home :-)
Alli, if your jogging in these gales just watch out for the flying debris, we dont want no injuries!
Victory - i'm glad youre back posting again - hope things sort themselves out amicably for you in the end
Matryoshka - heck you are like superhuman almost!
Vix - thanks :-)0 -

Hiya everybody
Well been on the plan for 4 days now and sticking to it. So here we go with todays meal:
Sweet cinnamon porridge and 2 x toast, cup of tea.
Portion of HM tuna pasta bake (yummy)
Another portion of tuna pasta bake;)
Nescafe Mocha
And thats it for the day. Quite pleased with myself (resisted Caramel digestives at work with my cup of tea and a mars bar back at home with my Mocha:A)
Im totally in the zone - if I don't lose any weight this week I don't know what I'll do:o0 -

Good evening
I started calorie counting again this morning and so far it's going well - but then it's the evenings I always slip up and I am supposed to be making belated pancakes for OH tonight! Not many stairs today, but hoping to do some more before bed.
Glad you're back in a positive frame of mind Puds, I know how terrible full on binging can make you feel and you've done well to pull yourself out of the cycle again
Romylou - well done on your 4 days! Are you planning in advance at all or just adding as you go?
bettyB - that's a huge challenge isn't it? I think that running is just a bit beyond me at the minute, especially as I had dodgy knees as a teenager before I was anywhere near this size! I didn't know it was linked with the NHS either. Lots of luck!
Victory - sorry you're having such a dreadful time, it sounds like your family are being so inconsiderate and uncooperativeIt's just awful

What sort of exams countrymusic?
British Sign language. Didn't make the mock exams because the local bus didn't appear, but the big exam is next week and I will leave 1/2 hour early just to make sureTime is more valuable than money. You can get more money but you can't get more time0 -
Thanks for the charts fred. Haven't done anymore steps yet but will do some more this afternoon (can't let Mandz beat me to the top!!
)
That sounds like yet another challenge, Race ya lol
I will start to stop doing so much soon as i always start out enthusastic(?)
Congrats to everyone though, we are all doing really well. And to all the losers and sts this week!PAD Maker0 -
Hi everyone.
I'm a long time lurker on the MSE forum, and I decided to post for the first time today because you all seem so lovely and supportive on this thread and I've decided that I really really am going to lose weight this time. I'm 23 in July, which seems scarily adult, and I want to be on my way to changing by then!
I currently weigh 196lbs, down from 203 on January 1st. I'm 5'7 and ideally I'd like to weight 135lbs -so I've got 61lbs to lose, and I want to do it by the end of the year - which breaks down to about 1.5lbs a week - not really that unobtainable! I have been eating a lot more healthily recently, hence the 7lb weight loss (and I know 7lbs in 2 months isn't really that great) but I'm unemployed at the moment and therefore very sedentary.
I have joined a (cheap) gym, which opens on April 12th, but in the mean time I'm going to move around as much as possible and eat as healthily as I can - trying to cut down on sugar, white carbs and dairy, and focussing mainly on lean proteins and fruit/vegetables. I'm fairly fit now, but I'd really like to do a 10k run by the end of the year.
I think having to report my weight loss/gain in this thread every week will really motivate me, so I hope you don't mind me joining in! Good luck to everyone, you're all doing fabulously from what I've read

thanks! I found some info on the programme here: http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml
Is this the same thing??
I didnt know you could get free podcasts (also didnt know it had anything to do with the NHS!) so big thanks!
Not going to be too basic for me - I can manage most exercise but running has always defeated me! I am just awful. So this will be very helpful i'm sure.
Hope you manage to battle the wind today!!
Thanks Betty I had a look at coolrunning too but downloaded 2 podcasts and found the music on the NHS one more to my liking IYSWIM but I have read that some people have made their own which depending how I get on may interest me in the future. I would say download the 1st podcast and put your running shoes on and give it a go. If a flabby thing like me can try I'm sure a super fit Betty can do itIt is only 30 mins of your life :j

That is a great looking mountain I would climb lots and lots of stairs to get to a summit made of ice cream:D Thank you for your concerns but it did take the wind out of my lungs a few times when it was gusting straight at me

Countrymusicfan - Sorry you missed your exam. That sounds like a very complicated exam, good luck with that
copperboom - Welcome to our lovely threadPost often and join in. You will need to post your loss each week before Wednesday evening which is when Fred posts the chart. Good luck with your journey

I have downloaded the NHS podcasts - had a listen and it sounds ok, nice lady voice not too annoying or 'coachy' if you know what I mean!
Going to start on sunday (if the rain stays away!) and do 3 runs a week. I can't believe I am doing this it feels so daunting!! I reckon i'll have to do the first week a few times, I am so bad at running even 90 secs of jogging will wear me out!
1500 ft done on the stepper tonight! :j
that takes my overall total to 8200 now!
