    AH ok, cos I said my bread had 'gone off'! I get it!! Was SO confused - wondering how you can have a fear of pasta! LOL
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    thanks!!
    Sorry puds! will try not to mention the M word ever again!!

    Yes! I am exactly like that - all fruit and healthy stuff and good intentions but by about 5pm I could eat an entire loaf of bread. Then, when I cave in and have something 'bad' I think oh well why stop now!?!

    I am thinking of changing my eating and working patterns so that I can perhaps overcome it.

    At the mo i'm eating 3 meals with snacks in between (small) and then ruining it most days at 5 and eating a load of cr*p. I do my exercise in the morning and then work all afternoon - boredome and stress usually make the munchies worse.

    today tho I am going to have several small meals throghout the day, and then do my exercise at about 4/5pm when I would usually get hungry - that way I can have work done, showered and changed before OH gets home.

    hope the plan works!

    Dont let the 'oh sod it' factor stop you doing the Everest challenge - the nice thing about it is that you dont need to do it every day! So no failure!

    I think what I'm going to do tonight is start counting calories from dinner, and then as I find it easier during the day I'll know exactly how many calories I have left for breakfast and lunch tomorrow and stick to those. I'll effectively still be having only what I should have, but with my day's broken up differently.

    As for Everest, unfortunately as lolly101 says, I do need to do it everyday. With a stepper you can do 1500ft in 20 minutes, and I can do about 320ft at the absolute maximum on the stairs! So, I'm managing to do about 10 flights in a row now, but I'm incredibly unfit and it's a killer! I'm going to try really hard to get my 45 flights done today :D

    Newbie alert! Newbie alert!! Newbie alert!!

    Hello y'all. Thought I'd introduce myself properly :rotfl:I've been posting on here for a couple of days but have now decided to join in properly. (I'm usually on the competition forum)

    Anyway, I regularly attend the gym (at least 5 times a week). I'm not dieting but try to eat healthily. I have 5 children (youngest is 2). I work part-time. I have a handsome husband :T - without trying, he is fit and trim :cool: which is my motivator really. If he was fat and balding, I wouldn't even bovver :rotfl:

    Anyway, I'm 5ft 3" and usually weigh 9stones 7 Ibs. I was my fittest ever before I had my 2 year old son!!! I weighed in this morning and I'm 10stones 5 Ibs :eek: (need to lose 12 Ibs, I think) so I'd like to join something on here to motivate me - the 5 Ibs challenge maybe or any other. Thanks.

    I'm 1 inch taller than you, but 3lbs heavier. :p

    You should do the 5lbs challenge. And at least that way you can keep track of your progress.

    Oh and i've finished the downloads for you, so gonna start the burning procedure today. :)

    Oh and just wanted to say, for someone with 5 kids, that's pretty impressive. I'm only 19 so a little bit away from the married life and all, but I'd like to think that when I have a family, I'd still be fitness mad. :D

    Betty - tortelloni, definitely the better option...
    (hides behind sofa):eek::eek::eek:
    i have the same phobic reaction to m that some people get with snakes and spiders and the like.
    Cant go anywhere near it. (shudders) even reading the word in your post made adrenaline start pumping round my head (shudders again!) and if its on bread or on oranges - well thats the absolutely worst. eek!
    :-(

    Really?! That's shocking. I've never heard of anyone having a phobia of the m word. The only other bizarre phobia I've heard of is holes. Someone I knew couldn't stand the site of sponges because of the tiny holes in them and also anything else with holes, like pictures with worms coming out of the apples with a hole in them lol.

    I have a phobia of heights which is why I hate elevators. Whenever I look down i have a mini panic attack and feel like the floor could collapse any second.
