Well done eric amazing results 200lb of fat is an incredible amount to lose.

thanks for the chart fred - hoping i'll see a loss next to my name soon!!

I'm not going to be in the group challenege cos I am still getting to grips with my new lifestyle plan, but I'll join the 5lb month challenge as usual. Thanks :)

Off to do an hour on the stepper :D

PS - does anyone know how accurate the cal counter is on home machines, like my little stepper? I did about 45 mins and it says 270 cals. that sound about right???

Well done Eric! I always admire people with a lot to lose that stick to it just like in the biggest loser. You should be proud of yourself for your achievement so far.

And fred, can you put me down for DIY & healthy eating, and also the 5lbs challenge too.
  • Well done Puds and Eric, and team Wales of course!

I'm definitely in for the 5lb challenge, Fred! For the team challenge, because of the trouble with the scales, my weight needs to be set from 334lb, please :)

I'm having another good calories day today, mainly because I can't smell or taste anything I eat, my throat hurts and I woke up with conjunctivitis so I couldn't see anything tempting in the shop earlier. I hate the flu, it's knocked me for six this time... Oh, and my ears are all bunged up and very ouchy with sinusitis. Stupid flu *humph*

very innaccurate, size, weight, lean muscle mass, metabolsium, gender and level of fitness all affect how much you burn

the closest you can get to accurate is to use something like a polar watch which knows your age, gender, height and heart rate during exercise and then cals your cal expenditure based on a resting metabolic test it does.

that's what I thought - how can it possibly know cals when unlike gym equipment you dont enter any info like weight or age...
will go back to ignoring it then!
