Having said that, one on one hypnotherapy with a trained therapist can be very effective as you are getting a session(s) personalised for you that will address anything that has contributed to your weight gain.
This is what i was thinking of doing, the 1 on 1 sessions but as i read about it, i wanted to know if anyone had tried it first as most sessions are £50 for an hour which is alot of money to spend if it isnt going to help. That why i wanted to see if it had worked for anyone else.

There was a weight loss program/series on tv a while ago (was it part of supersize v superskinny?.. sorry I'm a bit vague on the details) where Anna Richardson tried out various qick-fix and fad diets. She went and spoke to a woman who had had hypnotherapy, and who was not able to eat as much as she used to. Anna then went to (I think) Marissa Peer for a session and found that of all the things she tried, the hypnotherapy was the most effective. Of course this was just a brief slot, so there was no mention of longer term successes.

Completely aside, I have managed to get a 50 year old chap to stop his lifelong nail biting habit in one session, so I am in no doubt that hypnotherapy works (but then I wouldn't lol).

Ok probably jumping back in a wee bit too soon but need to get my fat 4rse in gear!!!

    Day 1 starts now!!!

Been megastressed wondering if the retirement's gonna come through or not. Then worrying if CTC are gonna take a big chunk off my retirement fund. Meeting with senior management at 9am tomorrow morning, which will mean approximately 2 weeks til my retirement :j

Little bit of a health scare here too. Managed to shut my boob in car boot. Don't ask how I managed it cos I aint too sure myself!! All I can say is NUMPTY ALERT!!! Anyhoo, as a result, I have found a lump in my boob again. Dunno if it's caused by the accident or accident has made me aware of it. Well, I aint gonna worry about it until I need to, and need to stop using health scares as an excuse for me being a fat git! At the end of the day, if they need to come off, at least I'll weigh a lot less :rotfl: Does that count as cheating??

So I won't post this Wednesday Fred, but will for following week following the first 10 days of my plan. Plan is just to eat less/healthier and get my fat behind moving more :)
    4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j

oh dear mazza sounds like you're having a tough time at the mo - hope you are ok.

i've just found out my friend is having a baby boy! she's due in the summer and just had her 2nd scan this week! Question for all the mothers out there - what is a good pregnancy gift? I was thinking of getting her Davina's pre and post baby workout dvd (she is the one who lent me the davina dvd originally, so it would be kinda funny to get her one back!) and maybe something small for baby, but i'll get something big for him when he's born! any ideas????

on the food front not been too bad today, had porridge for brekkie and then 1 slice of brown toast with low fat cheese for 11ses. Then had a home made falafel wrap for lunch with salad and fat free yoghurt, and a bag of Sunbites. Then 2 cups of tea and having home made turkey fajitas for dinner with veg, low fat guacamole and spicy rice
