Well, I have been eating healthily for the past week, but was invited to meet a friend today for lunch
Had veggie burger, chips, salad and coleslaw. Herbal tea. Did not have breakfast as would have been too near my early lunch and will only have a small tea. I don't have any bread in the house (usually make my own) so not sure yet what it will be
Gave her a box of chocolates that were still around for Christmas, so now I have no chocolates at all in the house

Hey Everyone,
Just checking in for the night.
Vix, could it be Anaemia? I remember having that taste a few years ago when I had an Iron deficiency.
Eric, You seem to be the fountain of all diet related knowledge, so I have a quick question for you!
I've been reading up on alcohol and ketosis, apparently they are quite a dangerous combination. I've had the odd drink here and there and been fine, although I'm going out for my cousin's birthday soon so I'll be drinking quite a lot . I'm now wondering if I should lay off the diet for the night (laying off the alcohol is not an option!!!). What are your thoughts/experiences of it?0 -

I can partly answer this.
I understand that if you are going to drink then you need to come out of ketosis first.I understand that it is very dangerous to drink & be in ketosis.I really urge you to be very careful.

Thanks for the advice, Beanie.
I was on Atkins, although I'm no longer following it 'to the letter' so I guess you'd just call it 'low carb'. I'm only having around 30g of carbs a day, so it is very low.
I don't really want to come out of ketosis as it takes so long to get back into it, but I definitely will do, as the risks seem to be too great to ignore.0 -
Ahh it could be iron. I've done a bit of google research (scientific of course!) and alot of the symptoms mach lack of iron so its spinach tomorrow!!!0
