cgk, good point, there are different levels of obesity. im very happy to have left the "super super obese catorgory" well behind
i think the other levels go something like this:
super duper obese
super obese
fairly obese
quite fat
rotund
bit podgy
sizeable thighs
vaguely plump
normal
too boney
You missed "blimey these have shrunk in the wash".0 -
Not heard of that in connection with weight loss vix - and your right, 7lbs over a 3-4 weeks isn't too much and it sounds like you have eaten properly today. Keep an eye on yourself an see how this progresses.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0

good luck for the week ahead folks0

Hello All,
Please can I be down as STS this week?
Had a rest day from exercise yesterday as my knees and shoulders were aching a lot from the previous day's efforts. I did my first go of Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred DVD, argh! Although you are supposed to do the whole 20mins in one go with no break, I had to take a minute out about halfway through as i thought my chest was going to explode! Later on I also did a 25min workout on EA Active. I intend to do the Shred again tonight.
Food Diary for yesterday:
Breakfast - smoked salmon, 2 scrambled eggs with 1 slice smoked cheese, 1 slice wholegrain toast. Coffee, fat free probiotic yog.
Lunch - fresh tomato soup, 1 wholemeal roll with flora, apple.
Dinner - 4 sausages, colcannon mash, broccolli with wholegrain mustard. Skinny cow ice cream bar. Banana.
Snacks - pink n white wafer, options hot choc, 2 wholegrain rice cakes.
Have felt seriously rubbish in Health and Fitness land this weekend. On hindsight, I suppose the above food intake wasn't exactly terrible, but I am still peeved that I seem to go so backwards compared to the saintly working week. It's probably because I don't eat hardly at fruit/veg at the weekend comparatively, plus ironically i seem to have even less time for exercise!
1 month down and so far not touched a single chocolate, crisp, biscuit or fizzy drink! Have only had 1 slice fruit cake & malt loaf and 1/2 a protein bar at a time, too scared of the calorie content to eat a whole one! I think i may have reached the dreaded plateau stage, but I'll just have to up my game. Jillian certainly doesn't have any sympathy for me!Make £2019 in 2019 No 153 - £4517.17/£20190 -

overdoing it will not reap rewards in the long term - you'll end up taking extra days off to recover and so on
Yesterday i had a "fry up" for breakfast, and my normal planned meals over the rest of the day. Walked 9 miles inthe afternoon which i hoped would burn off the breakfast, but this morning im nearly 2lbs up on yesterday :-( i know i shouldnt weigh day to day (and that's the reason why!) but it usually keep me focussed. I'm still expecting to post a loss this wednesday though.0 -
Hi folks
Vix, odd question, have you been eating pinenuts at all? They're renowned for giving some people a funny taste in their mouths for days after eating them. Other than that I've never heard of anything like you're feeling, hope you're feeling better soon
Anyone go out to the Chinese New Year celebrations? I did, and I've just worked out that I had at least 1950 calories over lunch and dinner- damn those delicious Chinese buns and bubble tea! Still, at least I avoided the buffets and walked around for about 5 hours to burn some of it off. Knuckling down today - having healthy meals and snacks, getting the house back to a reasonable state and hopefully getting on the rowing machine/Wii for HHE! I'm hoping to have still lost a couple of lbs, but I won't know until Wednesday

Right on track again. And very close to next mini goal which is 150lbs. (I always set mini goals in increments of 5lbs)

My bmi is in the "healthy" range and im a size 10 on top, 12 on bottom weighing 10.02 (5'3) So im hopeful im not obese, or clinically obese!!! I just have a lot of fat in me, and rather large bum and thighs which is where all my fat likes to party and chill out.
A week or two ago, i had the taste of iron in my mouth every time i ate or just generally. Now i feel proper weak, horrible and like the room is a bit spinny when im not spinning! (im sober)I read that the iron taste can relate to weight loss, but i've only lost 7lbs, so it's not like thats a huge loss? and now i feel crap and like im deficient in something...is this a normal process in losing 7lbs? I know im eating enough, i've had veg, meat and a banana today with plenty of fluid.
I don't want to scare you but could you be pregnant??? I am sure I remember something about metallic taste in your mouth when you conceive....????0 -
