25 min run today completed with no stops :j I'm still shocked that 6 weeks ago I could only just run for 90 sec's and then have to stop and catch my breath.

Fred - can you add another 2.91 miles to my total please.

Betty - hope you manage to get out and run today. Are you stretching before your run? as that could partly be why you are getting pains? I do a 5 min walk then stretch then start the podcast as I used to get terrible calf cramps otherwise.

Welcome Moneysaver12 :D you will find lots of help and support here I know I have :T

:TWell done! I find it so hard to believe I will ever be able to run for 25 mins without collapsing lol!

Yes I do stretch. I have to wait at a few traffic light crossings during my 5 min warm up so I use that time to stretch my calves!
But I have also researched some shin stretches than will hopefully stop them hurting me.

Thankyou Eric and Margartclare. I will have a look at that site. I do get disheartened when i put weight back on. I really want to lose weight and lost as much as i can for my holiday. It affects my confidence. Also i keep weighting myself nearly every day which i need to stop. I know that i am going to struggle with the water as i don't like water, but i need to drink it.

Hi there, sorry to butt in but I used weightlossresources and thought it was brilliant. I've now found 'foodfocus' and found it works more or less on the same lines but is FREE :) HTH

Day 36 completed of Insanity. Oh man, phase 2 is pure torture. Did Fit test and Max Interval Circuit today. Have to say it was the hardest workout I've ever done. Not sure if it's cos i did the fit test just before I done the workout without any break, but even so, it was so hard, I had to take quite a couple of breaks and was sweating bucket loads by the end. My heart rate was up the roof the entire time. Will post my fit test results tomorrow if I remember. Did better in a couple, the same in about 1, and worse in about 2. Can't complain though as my body has been so sore. Can't wait for tomorrow. :D

There's someone on the Fitness thread doing Insanity at the moment, have you been over there you might be able to compare notes? - Sory just read through and she is posting on here too!

Damn :( went out for a run and my knee hurt so much I had to stop and come home :(

edit - it's not a sports injury, the knee, it's a result of er...extra curricular activity, shall we say ;)

I know what you mean about putting weight back on. I was like that when I was stuck at 78kg. Kept on getting down to 77, then back up to 78 again and it would continue then I changed my food a bit, my exercise regime a bit, and I'm now 65.6 (well i'll see tomorrow what I am as that was last weeks weight). So if you seem to be at a plateau see if changing something helps as it certainly helped with me.

Also yeh when im stressed i tend to weigh myself everyday, but i realised that weighing myself everyday caused me to be even more stressed, and i'd find that by the time it was weigh in day, i'd have a sts or have a gain.

P.S. How can you not like water? I absolutely love water, whether it's tap water, mineral, filtered. :o I hate juice, fizzy drinks and all that. In fact im the only one in my family whose favourite drink is water lol.
