Dead fat was horrifying and every bulge I have seen on my walk out at lunchtime today made me think of what it looks like on the inside! Eek.

I joined WW a few weeks ago. I'm not sure it suits me as I find the weight loss extremely slow. I've only lost 3lbs. Friends who have joined SW are losing far more weight. Is anyone else having problems losing weight with WW please? I am such a failure!

I just wanted to share a link to a tv program that was on here in Northern Ireland last monday night called Dead Fat

For those of you who are very overweight and struggling to motivate yourself - this might be the boot up the behind you need.

wow guys, just found this thread, i think you're all amazing! i wish i had your will power!

im 5ft 2" and weigh in at 14st 11 :o the minute i think i've gotta lose weight i start eating more :( my weight constantly brings me down but if im honest im to lazy to do the hard work of losing it! i suffer from depression which doesn't help but still no excuse. well done to all of you :T hope i can find the mind set to do the same soon!!!

    Hi Donna,

Welcome to the thread! You've come to the right place, I'm pretty lazy when it comes to diet and exercise but I've found that the support, and the challenges, have really helped to keep me on the straight and narrow... most of the time anyway!

Would it make much of a difference if I change my weighing day?

Before I joined here I weighed every Friday but I want to be able to post my weight when everyone else does. I know our weight fluctuates daily so wondering if I moved it to a Monday say, would it affect it greatly?

    Thanks :)

Not really, your first monday weigh in probably wouldn't be that accurate as it won't have been long since your last friday one, but after that'll be fine.

I have only lost 6lbs in 5 weeks, but tbh, I am happy with that. I feel that I have changed my eating habits and also regained control of my portion sizes which is something that SW never helped with. Now I am exercising, I am expecting to lose more each week. I also try not to use any of my weekly points.

Everyone is different, you have to decide what works for you.

  • Fred - can you put me down for 2.96 miles today please

watched the Dead fat programme before I went for my week 5 run/walk and I have to say it made me concentrate more on the running. Seeing all the yellow fat around the organs has scared me about what a state my body is in. I almost want to go for a MRI scan to see what mine is like. Was nice to finally see what Eric's bod pod looked like too.

I'm out for a meal tonight and I was going to have a burger but now funnily enough I see a salad coming instead
