We set off at 11 this morning and got home at 9pm

    Hello :)
I've decided I need some motivation to help kick start my new healthy eating and thought here would be a great place to find it.
I haven't taken the plunge of weighing myself yet and i'm not looking forward to it but I will get it over with at some point today.

I have decided after a couple of years of totally unhealthy eating, that I need to do something before my health starts to catch up with me.
I would usually eat 2 normal meals + 6 or 7 chocolate bars. Obviously my weakness is the chocolate! It's going to be hard to kick but it needs to go!

Don't 'weigh yourself at some point today'.

Weigh yourself first thing tomorrow morning when you've been to the bathroom. Naked, after going to the loo, before eating or drinking anything and before you do anything else. That's the only way you'll get an accurate measurement of what you weigh now and your starting-point.

Nice to hear from you puds! You never cease to amaze me with your activities! :T:j:T
I thought I may have been a little crazy to go for the double marathon, but if you can (almost!) complete one in a day then I must be able to do two in 30 days!

    Hi Sophie :hello:

Yes, you've come to the right place! I was in a similar situation at the beginning of the year, I'd had a couple of years of bad eating habits and little or no exercise and around 3 stones had somehow crept up on me!

Everyone here is lovely, and we're all on different diets so there's a lot of knowledge floating about. Do you have a diet plan in mind, or are you going down the 'move more, eat less' route?

With regards to the chocolate, I would say try to cut down rather than quitting it straight away. If you try to change too much too soon, you will probably find it really hard going, and are more likely to slip back into old eating habits.

Thats really great news scary! Quality always sells :)

Ted: Well done!! I hope you feel insanely proud of yourself, i wouldn't be able to do that and i weigh half of what you do.

Eric: Only time i'd go to margate is for the beach, and i haven't done that in awhile!! Whitstable would have probably been more exciting, i literally go there every week ha.

  • Has anyone out there tried the Guinot techni spa treatment? Claims to give you a slender figure, a firm body and toned skin! It's really expensive - am I likely just to lose £'s and not lbs and inches?

    Thanks
