So, anyway, today weigh day, I stepped on the scales and it registered 10 stones 2Ibs. If I take this weight from the Vitality Show one on Sunday, I've lost 1 pound but I normally weigh in on a Friday and last Friday, I was 10 stones which means I've put on 2 pounds 8.gif

Don't beat yourself about it hun. If you're losing inches, that's what matters. Plus in 3 weeks of Insanity, it's definately possible that aswell as burning fat, you're also gaining muscle and muscle weighs more than fat. Chin up and keep plodding on.

After sunday, it's 1/3 of Insanity done for me. Another 2/3s to go. Really hope i gain a sufficient amount of muscle, especially on my arms. (Those push up jacks are torture!) Have rethought my eating plan too, and i've decided no more chocolate until the end of may. Usually i have 2 small pieces per week, but gonna stay away from chocolate for the duration of Insanity and then some more. Also decided to reduce my carb intake and realised that it's not just about the cals. The other stuff like crisps, biscuits etc. I've already kept away from since October. So most of my eating plan is sorted, just need to think about what is necessary and what isn't.

margaretclare, that is fab. You should be proud. :)

I have one, and a very expensive one, don't regret it for a minute, it gets used quite a bit by me and the OH

I've been wanting one for a while so am hoping that I'll use it quite a lot (unlike the many, many other exercise machines that I've bought over the years!). This month's challenge should also help me get into a routine of using it.

Fred - Can you sign me up for 2 marathons, and log my time please - will be interesting to see how long it takes me, and will set a benchmark for me to improve on.

    Fred,

I'll also do the marathon challenge. If I go on the treadmill/crosstrainer daily, do I log my distance daily or tot it up at the end of the week + my time?

We'll finish about the same time (just one day difference) :j I really hope it changes my abs (it's the reason I started Insanity)

The first time I stop for a break is during those dreaded push-ups (push-up jacks & moving push-ups). I've not been able to complete one yet :o

Thought twas doing well on one thing a day = 365 in a year:rotfl:
Pop in sometimes though as I miss you :(
:kisses3:thanks beanie - I will try, it's nice to be missed. Are you doing the one thing a day yourself then? Slow and steady wins the race, definitely. I've just found it has become pleasntly addictive and because I have more energy at the mo just found myself able to get more and more ruthless and les and less tolerent of 'excess'.

alliwant - didn't comment last week about your mum, sorta good and not so good news: you are standing up to the uncertainties amazingly:grouphug:.
Fellpony - if you are reading, I think of you often x
Margaret Clare:T:T I'd really like a standing ovation smilie!

Fred - you're a star with all your charts!
puddings - were are you getting to?
Betty - I bet if you worked outside of your home in a job you enjoyed, food and weight would no long be an issue. It's tough being at home on your own and being under pressure from work. A saint would reach for the biscuit tin
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.

You wouldn't believe the sense of achievement I felt yesterday, after swimming across the pool getting my head up to breathe, aided by a woggle. The kind of thing the pre-schoolers that go there do without even thinking about it!! I felt as if I'd won the Grand Prix or something similar.

Re the woman at the Vitality exhibition who advocated not eating for 5-6 hours. This is completely the opposite to all the nutrition/digestion advice I've ever read. Frequent small meals, almost like big snacks, are often advocated, to keep the metabolism going. This is just one: http://www.suite101.com/content/eat-frequently-to-lose-weight-a19607
