This thread is very encouraging! Just seeing the success in others makes me believe that I too can jump on this train and loose a few lbs. I started the new year off great but have been slacking for the past two weeks, jumping back on board this coming Monday though-no excuses!
Congratulations to everyone who has dropped some weight and keep up the good work :)

Debating whether to go for a run or not today - bit worried as there are loads of builders doing the roads by my flat and I dont want anyone to see me running! there is a small park nearby so i could just run around and around it I suppose, be ok so long as the kids are all in school and not on the swings!! but I really wanna start c25k properly I am itching to go, (alliwant is inspiring me!) just a bit embarrassed!

Betty There is no reason to get embarrassed just walk to the park as your warm up then start when you get there ;) Come on I have good faith in you and stop being so hard on yourself hun x

How often do you lot get your bodytest done? Is it expensive and where do you get it done? It's the first time ever I've done mine and can't wait till next year's Vitality Show to do it again :rotfl:
Maybe I should get said scales so I can check it once a week. My waist is going down, I think, since Insanity. I checked it on my belt :D I also think I'm fitter as can go through the entire warmup without stopping :rotfl:And at the Vitality Show, a lady said she thought my 15 year old daughter was my sister so Insanity must be making me look younger 5.gif

Like Vix I have body fat scales that my mum brought me last year for my birthday so I get an idea weekly. They were a little expensive but I have to say it has been great downloading the details to my PC and have a graph to show my progress (I can be a little nerdy )

Where do you get the energy to get up and exercise that early ? you are a little star :T (and insane :rotfl:)

Dinah - are they trying to get you a greater range of movement in your knee? 30 degrees sounds a little restrictive to me ( my Mum had both of hers done but 2nd not as good as 1st) but I know they did offer to knock her out and manipulate to see if it makes a difference. You could always start your own mini challenge to climb snowdon and set yourself goals ?

Frogletina - Weigh in tomorrow show yourself the damage (if any) and use it to help yourself out of your destructive ways. We are all human (well most of us are) but not weighing is not going to make it go away ;)

Been out on run 9 (run 3 week 3) today and found that I am still getting stiffness in my right calf after a while. I am stretching before and after. Also holding my stretches for about 30 sec to make sure getting good deep stretch. Anybody got any tips on what could help with this problem as the longer I run the worse it seems to get :(

Good luck with weigh in tomorrow people :D And to the remaining climbers just keep plodding not much longer to go :T

I may consider getting a hula hoop for the summer. I find that if i dance (how i dance, think of rihanna) hahaha!! Then i notice my wasit trims up no end. 15 mins of that each day and i'm good to go! Plus i've never mastered the hula hoop!

Have you tried the hula hoop on the wii fit ? I find after 5 mins of that I am sweating tonnes but not sure if it helps my waist line.
You can also get weighted hoop's to help with toning

Or the dance dvd with hoop sound like fun :rotfl:

Oh there is damage, according to the scales today

I walked to the gym today - treadmill, rower and swam 32 lengths and walked back again

I will weigh myself tomorrow, just feel bad at how much I will have put on. But you are right, I must try and use it in a positive way.

Yes i have, i can't say it does a lot for me, unless it doubled/trippled the time i did it for. I think not having that physical hula hoop makes it more easier, and i end up just sticking my bum in and out!! Plus my wii is at ex boyfriends, and i'd rather have the xbox! ha

That hula looks good though, esp with the DVD!! I think its the way forward, i could probably even do that on one leg!! I may have to invest...or would it be another fad i'd do and then give up on!! (probably)
