I think it only works if you fundamentally change your habits - forever. So you aren't dieting, you change your diet. That's how I did it, I start at about 16 stone (I'm male and 5'9) and now I'm... well I have no idea what I weight (I use other tests instead) but I have a flat stomach, a square jaw and I'm fit and healthy.

Oh, can we see visual proof of this. PURELY for weight loss inspirtation :p :rotfl:

Could you clever professionals help me please. I am eating out in an Indian restaurant tonight and I need some advice to which of the following options is the most ideal (in terms of low cal, low fat etc). What to you think??? I need to have a vegetarian main!

TANDOORI BROCCOLI/CAULIFLOWER V
Florets of cauliflower and broccoli marinated with
hung yoghurt, honey and dried fenugreek leaves

Scoped out potatoes stuffed with cashewnuts,
raisins, pomegranate, crushed spices and ginger,
marinated in yoghurt and chargrilled

SUBZ THAAL V

Assortment of vegetarian kebabs – paneer cheese,
stuffed potatoes, fresh vegetables and roasted fruits

Thanks in advance!!!

OMG - they sound gorgeous. Im guessing the first is lowest in fat. Im a sucker for subzi tandoori (paneer in the tandoor). If its a one off, cant you just have what you want - I would. Where is this restaurant? Im a veggie and those dishes all sound divine :D

That sounds lush!! Prob one of the first two. the yoghurt's the only main offender, but better than creamy, coconutty sauce like korma etc. Veg and spices seem to make up the main ingredients, so can't be that bad for you!

Feeling a bit down in the dumps, but mainly because I keep getting sent loads of work and so i'm not able to go outside and take advantage of these beautiful sunny days we are having at the mo. Cooped up in the house at my desk, bit depressing. Had me reaching for the choc yesterday.

Got Pizza Express for dinner tonight and had a big breakfast already...could have a salad i suppose.
But i feel like i'm getting fatter by the day! OH thinks I am mad and look the same as when we met but i know i am a stone more now than i was then...

OMG, Matryoshka! I just noticed the time of your post... now that really is Insanity!!!:eek::eek:
That is pretty amazing, I would love to have the energy in a morning to do any form of exercise, but I'm a complete night owl so can't even contemplate a workout until at least 11am, lol.

The kids start getting up from about 6ish in the morning. We are a family of 7 and all have a shower before we leave the house. I get my workout done before they wake up otherwise I'd have no peace!! :rotfl:

I have it on my scales. Fat, muscle and water %'s Can't remember what mine are now, but its gunna be BAD!! ha.

Have you noticed any difference doing these intensity work outs yet?

Maybe I should get said scales so I can check it once a week. My waist is going down, I think, since Insanity. I checked it on my belt :D I also think I'm fitter as can go through the entire warmup without stopping :rotfl:And at the Vitality Show, a lady said she thought my 15 year old daughter was my sister so Insanity must be making me look younger 5.gif

I'm really gutted I missed the everest challenge, I had surgery on my knee last June and I only have a 30 degree range of motion from straight to bent, and doing all those stairs might have helped to build it up a bit. At the moment it still sounds more like someone threw a sack of spuds down the stairs than nice graceful walking if I try to come down them without leading on my good leg!

I've taken on board comments last week and tried to cut out the chocolate and sugar, I was doing really well with the protein too - but then I had my parents and grandad for dinner on Saturday and I made some bread and some rolls to go with dinner, I've frozen one loaf, but it seems such a waste to bin perfectly good food so I've had 2 ham buns and an apple split between my breakfast and lunch the last few days.

A good set of scales is a must i think! Plus its really interesting seeing all the figures going down/up!
I may consider getting a hula hoop for the summer. I find that if i dance (how i dance, think of rihanna) hahaha!! Then i notice my wasit trims up no end. 15 mins of that each day and i'm good to go! Plus i've never mastered the hula hoop!
