                    Hi there,
I have several accounts with HSBC, i have my wages paid in to one and have not been overdrawn for 4 years.
Last saturday i received a phone call from my local branch asking me if i wanted to go in to their branch to 'review my account', which i read as them having an opportunity to try and sell me accounts/services i dont need!
Now, i said to the woman who rang me 'I am probably the last person you would want to ask if id like to come in to review my account as there is nothing id rather do less' and i had a little laugh and then politely explained that id rather not but thanked her......today i have received a letter from the branch manager explaining how they (HSBC) no longer wish to offer me banking and have given me 3 months notice!!!!
The cheeky swines/sods/****!! Not a coincidence im sure!!
My question is is this a usual thing or is it because i upset the woman who rang me somehow?
I don't particularly like HSBC (or any bank) but they provided a service for me i suppose and am not especially looking forward to moving to another bank. Ideally id LOVE to go 'above her head' and get this reversed but i wonder what my chances are?
Any comments please?

file a complaint and if you don't get any resolution, bring it before the ombudsman, assuming you didn't swear or insult the woman then you have a case.
Either way, the ombudsman will automatically cost them a few hundred quid, so do be sure you intend to bring it before them.0

They don't have to offer their services surely, they are running a business and can turn people away.
They requested a review, which was refused...
They have provided notice as they need to.
 I'd start looking for a new bank.0

But i'll wager that they wont write to every customer that refuses a 'review' and cancel their accounts?0

I thought people just laughed at Santander.0

            HSBC are crap.
Make a complaint which costs them money and move to a better bank.
The bank loses out on FREE money in the no interest paid current account.
I wouldn't lose a wink of sleep over it.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
