I notice on the Lastminute.com website that the Alton Towers hotel is described as a four star hotel.
In fact, it is officially a three-star hotel. We stayed there earlier this year, and we had the most dreadful bed imaginable, creaky, lumpy, tilted...
I complained in the morning and said I expected better of a four star hotel. The hotel manager then explained that it is in fact a three star hotel
When we went we paid a fortune, (five star prices!!) but thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. For £10 a room,, its an absolute bargain!!“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.” Charles M Schulz0 -

Sorry Donna I wasn't being nasty but just pointing out that if there isn't anything else to do for free it's not a bad deal for £100

Thanks Op, I'm going next weekend.
Is anyone else going for the 17th & 18th?or will it just be me & the naturists (hope its not too cold for them    )

I've had several pm's asking how to avoid MommaCC or maybe the naturists next weekend!!!!
I booked before the OP kindly changed the first post to mention them (the naturists not MommaCC)
I rang and cancelled. This is something they don't like to do and as you'll find out, it's damn hard to find the number!
I found it by going onto say no to 0870, which listed 2 numbers that did not work so I had to use the expensive one
0871 2223200
I got through to somewhere subcontinent but the lady was great, stick with it and explain about the pool being advertised but unavailable.
Ask for an email promising cancellation
best wishes

just come back from the monkey forest today:D
its really ace, but only open at weekends now. if you've got time to go though, dont miss it, sooooo many monkeys, and all charaters! also, with alot of the leaves gone off the trees, its far easier to watch the baby monkeys antics! watch out for neville though:D, the "kevin" of the monkey species, he tried to wind my son up some thing rotten!
german xmas market at trentham gardens every day too, nice glass of muuled wine to warm yourself up, and lots of lovely little crafty shops ina log cabin setting.

I googled waterworld which is in Stoke and that has a naturists event on (or rather off!)
Where does it say it at Alton Towers?
Last time we went the parking is free and theres no mention of payment for parking on the Alton Towers website.Panda xx
