Make sure you buget for dinner - £18 a head!

And a drink is around £3.

Also the rooms are tiny! We didn't enjoy our stay

I find it hard to believe that anyone can stay at the ATH complex and not enjoy it. Alright, it is not cheap (usually!), but it is a brilliant place where you can suspend reality for a day or so, and it is no more expensive to eat & drink than other quality hotels.
If you have kids, i have never seen one who does not find the place breathtaking, especially the waterpark.

Obviously this is just my opinion, and you are perfectly entitled to yours.

  • yippee we're booked in for Fri 8th dec. Anyone know if there will be any entertainment on in the hotel that we can take kids too? Also still not clear if there is a pool in the hotel that we can use free of charge rather than go in the water park. Does anyone know?

No links on the site and not on lastminute.com, searched hotel comparisson etc.

    Help!!

You need to copy and paste this link onto the address bar at the top of your screen and it comes up with it straight away. I tried typing in Alton Towers Hotel on LM.com and it didn;t give me the offer so make sure you copy and paste !!!

Im really tempted to take the wife as shes 7 months pregnant and i think the rest will do her good and my 3yr old will love the pool , is there much to do onsite apart from the pool ?, Could we just use it as base and come back late at night like a normal hotel ?

you certainly could do, although larger towns / cities are a reasonable distance away. You could take her to a say out around all the potteries in Stoke (<1h) and treat her to some new crockery!

Thanks to the op for this. I've just booked for next Wed to Fri, it's cost just under £20. We live in Stoke-on-Trent so it's only just up the road for us, and even though the theme park isn't open it'll still be a massive treat for the kids. They won't be in school for a couple of days, so that's special for them, and we can visit places we wouldn't usually have time to go to. Might go to Bakewell, Matlock or even the monkey park at Trentham Gardens, which is a bit of a run, but hey, we've got all day!
