  • I have been reading the threads and I have been a customer for over 15 years and have never once phoned to cancel or ask for discount. Am i Bl***y mad!!!!! anyway i phoned the number that it said on here and got a naggy lady who said she couldn't put me through but i insisted and said i had a block on 0800 numbers.. she wasnt happy!!
Then i said i wanted to reduce my package and she offered me £6 a month off but i said that wasn't enough and i think i was going to cancel and Sky would lose 12 months @ £42.50 off me she quickly offered me two months at half price- i tried to get three months at half price but she couldn't.. O well it's better than a kick up the A*se ay?
I will cancel it though and get freeview or something cos they are having a laugh on me at those prices................
  • Just tried to contact Sky and the queue is 52 mins!!!! will ring back again..... does anyone know anyother number other than the one on the sky website for customer services???

My sister, 34 weeks pregnant, thanks to this thread will be having her Sky box replaced on Monday free of charge, and will be getting 3 months at half price as well.

It's amazing what 'word of mouth' can do!

I am at a similar situation to you, been with sky for about 15 years, finally cancelled due to the ever increasing prices, dont even watch most of the channels anyways, will probably switch to freeview as well.

Used this no. today to get 3 months half price 0800 731 6965
  • Had been with sky for a good few years before getting fed up with being ripped off by sky's money making scheme. I cancelled my sky+ account four months ago but have now signed up again for 3 months at half price plus a £50 Argos voucher. I work that out to be 3 months at £18 = £54 -£50 (voucher) = £4 for three months viewing. God Sky must be getting desperate. I wonder if I could negotiate another deal at the end of the three months. If not its back to my freeview box. :snow_laug

  • A sky installer is advertising in our local paper tonight, SKY+ for £9 (new customer deal). I am currently waiting on SKY+ being installed on Saturday at a cost of £49 in OH's name aftre cancelling my 6 year long subscription (As advised by customer support)

So do I just put up, and shut up as they haven't queried the new deal, despite same address, same surname, and same post code, and through quidco it hasn't actually cost me anything, or Should I chance my arm, and get the OH to ring and request the £9 deal, or should I cancel Saturday's install and reebook ??

If that was myself I would probably just leave it the way it is as with Quidco you are not paying anything anyway so i would think it would be best that they don't realise that it is the same name, address etc.

What does everyone else thing as this is just my opinion.

    Hth.
