  • Just managed to get the full movies+sport channel package for half price through until January - delighted to be getting the movie channels over Christmas when all the best films are shown!

Now on £21.25/mo compared with the £21/mo I was originally paying for the family package. Movie channels + sport for 25p/mo extra sounds pretty good to me!

Had to call the 0870 number (ggrrrr!) but was only a 10 min phone call so I figure it was a pound well spent. Thanks to all on this thread for the encouragement and to anyone that hasn't built up the nerve to do so yet go on, have a go! :)

I spent about 30 minutes yesterday trying to change to the new option when my 1/2 price comes to an end in a few days.
I complained about how difficult it was to communicate with them (I still haven't had a response to my email sent 3 days ago) and how expensive the calls were.
I was assured that, despite it being an 0870 number, it was charged at local rate.
    Can this be correct?

I phoned up yesterday and told them I would like Sky + for £49. They said ok but it was a 12 month contract. I had 6 weeks left on half price so I phone up disconnections and told them I wanted 20% off for 12 months, they said ok.

I then phoned back Sky + who said I had to had Multi room for £10 per month, as I'm getting 20% off I said ok. They then offered me two Sky + boxes one for upstairs and one for down for £49 each (£98 total). I think this is a great deal, my mate will link my Sky + upstairs to the whole house so I will be sorted.

    Happy days :T

Cor happy days indeed mate. Good for you.
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

I e-mailed him yesterday with my complaint and have not had a response yet - is it a real email address? I have been trying to sort out my lack of signal and was told yesterday 29 mins to wait!

I've posted this in another Sky thread, but it looks like the freephone number via the disney channel has been plugged. Option 1 now just gives you a directive to call 0870 blah blah blah.

If you want to avoid the 0870 number- the number to call is-01506 522720.
