    Hi liz19,

You have to keep the Sky+ subscription for a minimum of 12 months (although can cancel within first month if you change your mind).

So this means you must keep at least 2 premium channels for 12 months, or have a lower package but pay £10pm for the Sky+ subscription.

just tried this ploy with sky and they wouldn't give me any offer other than the current £99 one with mutiroom @ £10 per month, even though 'I have been a customer for a long time' - seriously thinking about cancelling anyway now as they are so unaccommodating!

    deebee,

My father in law just tried to call for this offer, but got the same as you. However when he was put through to cancellations, it was the Indian callcentre, and the guy apparently sounded like he was on a script.

Did it sound like an Indian callcentre? If so call again and hope to be put through to the UK!

if at first you don't succeed - phoned again and threatened to cancel - operator checked with supervisor +then offered the reconditioned unit@ £45.00
then said there was a £10 monthly charge for the record facility as I didn't need multiroom, so asked if that applied if I upgraded to movie package - £10 charge waived when I took the £35 a month movie package, hurrah, happy again, and thanks to all those who have posted about this one, including you boots_babe

If you take up this offer will you still be able to take advantage of the 3 months half price deals in future?

    Hi liz19,

I was wondering that too. I'd assumed you wouldn't be able to do both, but have a look at idgam's comment a few posts ago. Looks like it might be possible!

You wont be able to get any more offers until your 12 month contract is up !

    Mines being installed tomorrow :)

Folks the salesteam do not have access to this offer so just ask for cancellations straight away dont waste your time with the sales department :)

Phoned up yesterday on the 0800 number and got through to cancellations and said I wanted to cancel as I don't watch much telly in the summer, and without much trouble was offered 3 months at half price. £20.50 instead of £41.00 and have saved £60.00 thanks to money saving expert.

I just spent 20-odd minutes on the phone to Sky (fortunately it was the 0800 number) but the best I could get was the £49 refurb Sky+ but only with multi-room.

This was after speaking to the supervisor in Scotland - the first person I spoke to had no idea, she put me through to someone else who firstly suggested he knew nothing about it, then said he had no authority to give that offer. The best he could offer was Sky + alone for £259 (£199 plus installation). So I asked to speak to someone that could give the offer.

She did refer to multi-room as 're-locate' and said that this was part of the £49 offer. She said we could cancel after 12 months, to which I suggested she pay the £120 then, if it wasn't so much!

Do they keep a record of these calls do you think? A different supervisor may give a different answer?
