asked for cancellations was put through to a lovely lady who said she was sorry i wanted to cancel,i told her that actually i didnt want to and that i had heard they were offering sky+ for £49.........
so they are coming out saturday to connect it all up
now what do i do with the old box and card??
Stick them on Ebay and you should recoup your £49 for Sky+ and hopefully have a few quid left over too
Sky are in a generous mood it seems! We are moving on Friday and are currently at month 11 of our Sky+ contract so didn't want to do lose 1 months viewing which we have already paid for. They asked for £40 to install Sky + in ther new house, my wife said no, can't afford that and they then came back and said, ok, we'll fit it for free.....result!0 -
help i have just ordered sky+ for £99 usin gthe internet and reading the confirmation page it says extra subscription £20 per month how can that be possible i have the full package £41 per month for the last 2 years is this the same thing you got when u ordered online?0

You have a 1 month cooling off period. So you could cancel, then take the £49 offer. You shouldn't have to pay any extra a month if you already are on the top package.
Hopefully you've got the wrong end of the stick on that bit - otherwise you are being ripped off!0 -

Hi amit_1
Try calling again and you will get to speak to someone different, who might be less hopeless!
If you have at least 2 premium channels (which you do!) you don't have to pay extra.
When I called up, he assumed I wanted Sky+ with multiroom which WOULD have been another £10 per month. I said no, I just wanted Sky+ so he said fine.
Give it another go0 -
Hi. I just tried this with my Sky subscription.
I have sky world + all the movies (normally £35). Complained that sky was getting too expensive for me and they reduced my monthly fee by 50%. So now I am getting the same package for £17.50 for three months.
Also ordered a sky + box for £49.00 although it is a refurbished unit (apparently only used for a few weeks ) :j0 -
It is now the 25 May. HaS ANY ONE TRIED RECENTLEY FOR THE sKY DISCOUNT?0

With the £49 sky + offer are there any tie ins regarding subscription? Do you have to keep the same package for 12 months or anything like that? I am trying to persuade my husband to go for it but he still thinks there might be a catch.0
