Just tried to call Sky customer services to query an irregular direct debit payment via https://www.saynoto0870.com and Sky have changed the number so the 01506484040 no longer works and you are told by a message to call a 0870 number. I called another Sky number 02077053000 and asked to be transfered to customer services they refused and said I must call the 0870 number. I explained to the lady that my company's telephone switch is configured not to allow outward 0870 and other premium rate numbers because of the high cost and exclusion from our capped calling rates issued by BTshe replied "well thats just tough you will have to call the 0870 or nothing" I told her she is now likely to lose a customer and she replied "so be it" - Charming.

So I am about to email them informing them that I have now cancelled my direct debit and requested that they call me as I cannot call them [perhaps I should set up a premium rate number for them to call me]

SKY really annoyed me today so I made it my goal to contact them without paying anything at all. All you need to do is call 0800 279 2000 then press 1 if you're a sky customer and you are through no problem

    :p
  • 0800 works well! Nice 1 :)
  • I rang up to try and get a 'special deal' on the 14th January 2005 and they say 'No - I can't give you any deals', so I asked to be put through to someone who could - Answer : 'No'...... SO !

Sent them a snotty email 'loyal customer... blah blah.... poke it..... not good enough... etc etc etc...

SUPRISE SUPRISE ! They offered me half price line rental for 2 months as a 'Good will' gesture....

Every little helps... now getting Sky for £9.75 for two months.
** Getting back in the swing of saving again.... **

    :T :T :T :T :T
Trying to find the best deals to save as much as we can..........

Good tip, netlang -- why don't you add this to the "SayNoTo0870" listings?

Hubby rang up and tried this. As we had had the half-price offer once before was not sure it would work. And it didn't. The girl on the phone even said you have already phoned up 4 times to request this. At this point hubby told them to cancell it. Then came the different package offers. But hubby would not have this and he has cancelled sky. Said he would not be talked to like this. So 7th March is cut of day. 8th March telewest are putting cable in for a saving of £5 a month to sky.
