if you already have a sky box and cancel your subscription you can get a freesat card from them for £20 that is valid for 3 years and you can receive the itv channels, C4 and C5 plus others.

Now my three month half price offer has finished we have decided to just get the family pack. Rang them up, telling them I wished to cancel completely just to test the water and now have the family pack with Sky Movies free for a further month.

Next month I will be ringing again for certain!

if you cancel subscription to sky you cannot get ITV, C4 and C5 but you can get BBC on the sky box without a card. sky are offering at the moment a freesat card costing £20 and is valid for 3 years which includes a few channels along with ITV, C4 and C5

not the case if u have a card with a yellow house on.

I have two boxes and two cards and when I cancelled by sub u get all the terrestial channels, itv2 (just unscrambled, ITV3, BBC3. BBC4, BBC News, CBeebies, CBBC, 3 music video channels, CNN plus loads more.

They go for a few quid on Ebay.

If u dont have a card with a yellow house on then u can always call Sky and see what deals they have. They will then need to upgrade your card - free I think.

AND if u are out of your initial 12 mths then u can switch it on and off with 1 mths notice.

my six month half price ran out 3 weeks ago but i kept the full pacakage for xmas was going to down grade to family pack cos son likes wrestling on sky one BUT greedy SKY have put wrestling on sky sports 3 so have decided to cancel sky.

just want to know that after cancelling do i still get all the free to view chanels as in FREEVIEW?

called sky last night giving the above reason(honest reason to cancel and would have cancelled) also told them that its expensive for what they put on films etc..

sky offered 3 months half price full package ;D

or if we don't watch films can have sports package half price ;D

accepted the full package £20.50

just seen my bank account is over drawn so decided to try and get a bit back by "canceling" sky . as we have the full package she offered to downgrade to family for £13 but said if i,m gonna lose anything i might as well lose all, as we have freeveiw box anyway so she then offered me full package for 3 months at half price

Sky have just added a 1/2 price sale bit to their website. 3 months of the top package for 1/2 price for new customers only.

Hi almond,

It took them less than three weeks after I'd been switched off to call me up to offer the half price offer again. I'd also cancelled my DD with them too - so they knew I was serious and it was only about three days after I'd done this.

I suppose to them that any money is better than none. I didn't mind going onto freeview for a few weeks either, as I still got ITV2,3 & BBC 3 & 4 etc.

I'll be giving them a 30 day cancellation notice again two months into my current three months half price offer.

Give it a month or so, and if you hear nothing, then maybe try calling them to see what offers they have??
