Sky Discount For Existing Customers

:'(dont know what i done wrong but when i cried proverty to the notsonicelady at sky she told me she would cancel my subscription with a months notice as i was unable to afford it, so i chickened out and hung up.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sky has seen this site and cottoned on to the relatively high numbers of people now claiming poverty.

does anyone know the cost of the basic Sky package,with Skysports added? I only want Sky for the footy and cricket,so I am not happy at having to pay out for stuff I don't watch. I am already on the half-price for 3 months.

JUST CALLED SKY TO CANCEL FOR MONEY REASONS,I AM ON FULL PACKAGE AT THE MOMENT £41.00.HE OFFERED ME FAMILLY PACKAGE AT £9 PER MONTH BUT NOT REDUCE THE FULL ONE AT HALF PRICE FOR THREE MONTHS.
I SAID NO IF THERES NOT SKY SPORTS OR MOVIES I DONT WANT IT AT ALL.
HE WAS STUBORN AND TOLD ME WE ARE SORRY TO LOSE YOU AND YOUR CANCELLATION DATE IS 10TH JANUARY. ???
ANY ONE HELP PLEASE B4 I GET CUT OFF

"Phone the techy number (08702 420331) and quoted 'happy 3' after a brief check they will offere 3 months of sky world at £20.50"

A work colleage and I tried this out. Results were:

I had a family pack - now have family pack + film 4 free for 3 months

Friend had £28 sports package - now has full package for £20.50 for three months.

I would imagine that % success rate is dependent on how long you have been with SKY.

My sky box is almsot dead I think but I allready conned them out of £50 to move my dish to my new flat for free so im a bit nervous about trying anything again.

I really want sky plus but £200 is too much.

I've just tried this but after 20 minutes of discussion the best I could negotiate was free Sports package for 1 month.
I'll try again in 3 weeks or so.

my 6 month half price sky world pack finished on xmas eve £20.50 per month . i rung them up last night to cancel after 20 mins they offered sky sports world for £16.50 a month for 3 months ;D
