1200 is very low though.. and 1lb is excellent go and carry that around with you in sugar and see how heavy it is, remember the energy drinks may mess up your 'highs and lows' so your body reacts differently to the food you're eating, keep going
.5lb on again today, yet i have stuck to my allowance like glue0 -
any news geegee?
i had a terrible weekend as was on training both days, faced with biscuits, fresh warm croissants, buffet lunch, i failed miserably and went over my bmr let alone my target cals, im not weighing myself for a week. im back on track today (so far!)0 -
Hey Puddy!
Sounds like you are in limbo like me.. I just can't seem to shift anymore weight. I know it's because I'm eating too much still.. I simply can't function on less than 1500 Kcals, so I'm gradually trying to up my exercise and attack it that way, and be sensible with what I eat.
I had about 3 days of not sticking to a diet, that included a meal out at Chiquitos and a macdonalds
athough I did just have the small cheeseburger and fries, no drink.
Still hooked on energy drinks, I'm trying to incorporate them into my diet as I just don't function without them

gee gee, dont get despondant, if you keep checking in here, it will help you stay on track. if you have a bad day, just concentrate on the next one.
as i said, i had a terrible weekend. i did (despite saying i wouldnt) weigh myself today, total of 1lb off, although thats 2lb if you count the one that went on, but i obviously feel that the weekend hasnt caught up on me yet, that might change in the next few days.
so now a total of 7lbs
you can do it!!!!!0 -
Hey Puddy! Thanks...

Not really been dieting as such, but I've been keeping my intake down and ready to start the next diet battle again tomorrow I think.. humphhh, will it ever end?!
Went jeans shopping today, didn't go well, I got some jeans in a size 20, which is my usual size, but then popped into Next as I love their jeans and remembered they only really go to an 18 in store
was a bit gutted that I'm too fat for their clothes.. not to mention all the other stores I never go in and pretend it's because I don't like the clothes, when really it's that they don't do my size.
The worst thing is, I've only got myself to blame, and still I'm not going anywhere fast!
7lbs is great! I really would be so happy with that
It would take me to the next stone down and hopefully get me motivated!
Thanks Puddy, I'm going to keep trying and posting updates on here x9/70lbs to lose

the saboteur is telling me that the scales are wrong and its not real.....
i went to a friends funeral on friday, couldnt fit into any of my 'formal' clothes that i havent worn for years, depressed!
i found it really difficult to input the foods i ate over the weekend, but actually i think its useful. also like yesterday, i ate the sultana fingers, plus a dollop of cream cheese. looking then at the fat amounts and the calories for the day that i didnt need, it serves as a motivator to say 'i could have done without them' and knock the intake down a bit.
ive just made a massive mistake of putting some aubergine anti pasto in a soya mince bolognese sauce mix for tonight, its taken the fat and calories through the roof, but i wont be making that mistake again (i suspect it was fried so logged it as that - no calorie info on the jar - thats lidl for you)
i wonder if its the energy drinks for you, messing up cravings and blood sugars etc?0 -
I'm sorry to hear about your friend
I hope the day went okay..
Yes, energy drinks are probably not helping, although if I have one in the morning it curbs my appetite loads! But maybe that's just a trick really, I should be able to do without them. I would say that I eat less when I've had an energy drink, so I can't work it all out.. plus I don't drink tea and coffee, although I like them I just don't make them really.. so it's my caffeine intake from the energy drinks too.. Also, I don't smoke or drink alcohol much.. Feels like I'm really hooked on them, well 'Relentless' in particular, I love it. *embarrased!* It's 220 calories of pretty much pure sugar per can, I'll only have 2-3 cans a week though.
I am worried I'll become diabetic if I don't sort it out.
I have done well with cutting out the crap, I've cut down on snacking as much now and not had a hot choccy in ages

i wrote that badly due to laziness, it was my partner's ex father in law who died, i didnt actually know him. however, i found the day very emotional.
yes, my partner got diagnosed as diabetic about 10 years ago, prior to 40 because of his very high intake of sugary drinks and snacks, so please be careful, wean yourself off them somehow.
i have read that caffiene is a metabolism booster, but conversely the sugar must surely interfere with insulin which affects your appetite and food absorbtion, so i think overall the balance must be that its interferring with your overall intake. are you still logging everything, because i wonder if you eat different types of food after a drink, maybe not as much but less nutritionally beneficial?? i dont know really, im just thinking about what might be going on.0 -

I think any funeral is a bit emotional really, bit of a stark reminder of what we all dread
I haven't been logging my food
I really should, I guess I bury my head in the sand.
I'm trying to think what I eat after the energy drink, I can't think. Usually I'm at uni, so I will drink it on an empty stomach mid morning, actually this week I went and got a bottle of full fat coke and a bounty bar later that day too!
At home I don't drink fizzy pop anymore, not even sugar free, just sugar free squash now.
I always eat loads when I'm at uni, not sure why! I take my lunch with me, eat it and then be ravenous, maybe it's nervous tension?! :rotfl:
Had beans on toast for dinner tonight, so quite a bit better than some of the bigger portions I've been having recently.
My blood sugars are really messed up, don't know how to get back to 'normal'...9/70lbs to lose

Going better today, had a cereal bar for breakfast and a prawn salad for dinner, and an onion bhaji lol.. no fizzy pop or energy drinks.. been really busy today, so that has helped loads!
I've got a job interview tomorrow, at McDonalds of all places, need a student job for extra cash, just hope I get it and I don't loads if I worked there.. saying that I don't think I will really.. free food, so salads and fillet 'o fish
Trying to get to badminton next week, couldn't go this week as the hall was being used for something else, and I actually hurt my shoulder a little, but next week I'll be there and back on form
Hope you are doing ok Puddy!9/70lbs to lose
