Oh dear, first day back at Uni and I've had a disaster day :(

I've had a can of energy drink and chocolate :(

I'm at badminton tomorrow night, so I'm going to just burn those calories off for the junk I've had today. I knew this would happen...

Luckily I'm only at uni 1 full day, and then tomorrow 9-11, so I should be okay on the short day.

Go ahead bars are using up a lot of calories yeah, they are low in fat, but probably aren't too great for me.. probably a bit of a cruch for me at the moment.

    keep at it.

i find it hard when im busiest and rushing around and tend to want to grab something, anything. today i had to force myself not to buy stuff when i went in to get some milk and when i got home, i knew i wasnt hungry but really wanted to just eat, mainly tired and cold. so i did a cup a soup instead.

i couldnt resist getting on the scales again, the 2lb has come off, what will it read tomorrow?? its like a mystery drama

re the go ahead bars - would you be able to get into the ryvitas with raisins in? they may be better,

Hmmm, not sure about Ryvitas lol.. I will try and cut them down and replace the calories with a banana or something healthier.. :) (I didn't know they did raisen ryvitas? lol)

Well done on those 2lbs, bet you are relieved! PHEW! haha ;)

I'm back to it tomorrow, hopefully I'll be able to control it better next week..

Do you think, instead of having a treat meal each week, I could use it for my uni day and have an energy drink and a naughty snack once a week? It might just be better if I plan it into my week?

Or is that a stupid idea?

  • just a very quick post. Have a look at the India and Neris idiot proof diet, it's free with Cosmo magazine at the moment. I started on Jan1st having never been able to stick to a diet before. I was eating far too much bread, and a lot of the wrong things. So far I've dropped from 105kg, to 97kg in a month. Day 5 was like hell on earth, but I stuck it out and haven't cheated at all, and my way of eating, and thinking has drastically changed. I don't get blood sugar dips in the afternoon anymore, or go tired or shaky. Plus I get to eat cheese on this diet which makes me very happy :-)

GeeGee, stop beating yourself up over 1 energy drink and some chocolate! You're doing enough exercise to allow yourself something like that.

How about swap those 100 cal hot chocs for Options or Highlights which only have 40 and then the cals saved over the week will cover an energy drink and choc. Although I would say if you can get out of the habit of the energy drink that would be a good thing - only athletes really need those kind of things - an ordinary person doing average levels of exercise is fine with water.

Complete deprivation is where relapse in the future lies - and relapses tend to be exaggerated don't they?

well today's scale reading was 1.5lb on, how depressing, why is it going up and down so much

anyway, yes, the ryvitas are made for dunking, i think they are a sweeter version, with raisins and cranberries or something like that, i quite liked them when i had them

Thanks, and yeh, I always do this, I *cheat* because I've restricted myself too much, and then think it's all gone wrong! :o

I did okay yesterday, although I wasn't 100% on the diet, not weighed myself today yet.. eeek.

I'm back on it today, I went badminton last night and am aching lol. Waiting for the Wii Fit to turn up, hopefully today or tomorrow.

I think I really need to exercise a lot and then I can eat more food. I struggle with just 1200 calories, I find it really hard..

It's just a fluctuation in your weight, could be a heavy meal or just water levels in your body.. or maybe you have evil scales!! :p

I'm dreading weighing in today, not done it for a few days now..

I had lost 3lbs, but I doubt I'll still be at that weight.. I'll update in a bit.

    I've put on 2 of the 3lbs I had lost :( booo!

Oh dear, anyhow, still 1lb lower than before, but it's not really enough..

Got to try much much harder from now on.

If I want a treat, then I need to plan it into my week. Looks like Tuesdays will be my 'treat day' whilst I'm at Uni...
