Faerie, think I'm going to steal your idea about the baby's gender as we go on hols a few days after the scan and that way we can find out the news just the two of us and keep it to ourselves a while!
    Big hugs to everyone xx

    Happy 24 weeks kerri_dfw!

fran-o, feel free to steal away. Lovely bump too!

VICSH - congrats on your healthy blue bump :)

I had a proper grumpy sonographer for my 12 week scan so I was delighted with the sonographer yesterday, she made it a lovely experience. She spent ages showing us the baby and how it is developing. I even got the scan pics free :) That envelope was burning a hole in my bag yesterday, I was dying to open it, it took alot of will power to wait until after the meal!

The only problem is we have no boy names that we can agree on. The ones we do like, don't flow very well with our surname :(

Faerie, regarding names we are exactly the same I was so convinced it was a girl we have only disucssed girl names and had least 5 we both liked. Boys on the other hand are complately different and we just cant agree.
I chose DS' name about 2 weeks before he was born and we both fell in love with it. Hopefully the same flash of inspiration will come wiht this one!
  • We cant agree on any names for boys or girls here :(
Just take each day as it comes. :)

We are exactly the same here :( hubby has dismissed all the names I like and has made no suggestions as to alternatives. He keeps saying we will decide nearer the time. I want to do what we did when we were expecting DD which was to make a short list of 3/4 diff names per gender and then chose the one that suits when the baby is here.

I booked in for a breast feeding workshop in a few months, I have also been reading a few books about it too.
Taking responsibility one penny at a time!

My DH keeps suggesting stupid names from Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings!!! We can't agree on any names, it would have been okay if we had a boy as we agreed on names the first time round, but we're having another girl.

Rummer- a shortlist? we don't have any type of list lol!

We've had longer than most to think about names (trying for two years) so have the name picked unless we think of one we both love more but I doubt that'll happen as he doesn't like the same names as me but never suggests his own lol

My sister has bought her a shawl, booties and a hat a looking at them makes me cry. Can't believe how lucky we are and that we're going to be having our own baby :)

a big huge welcome to claire, so pleased to see you over here :)

well as you can tell from my late night posting I couldn't sleep last night, banging headache. the virus i had last week my mum kept hold of to give to my dad and now my husband and i feel all pap today but stupidly didn't want to look bad by being off sick today so came in.
bit gutted cos i'm meant to be going to watch one of my favourite bands tonight with my best friends but the thought of it makes me want to cry, i need to be curled up in bed lol

was naughty last night and had KFC for tea, little lady weren't half kicking away after that, definitely her father's daughter...
