Emz I'm in exactly the same situation re work except I'm leaving just after Christmas. I need my head to sort out my mat leave so I can actually tell the kids!

oo emz, you've had an eventful couple of days!

I'm a little annoyed at hubby going out tonight, but he's been very good at looking after me these last couple of days so I'll let him off!

While I've been home alone, I found this bra size calculator website, I've gone up a few sizes so when I'm better I'll hit the shops!

 I'm back :D very happy to see the new faces over here and hope your sickness improves soon claire. My nausea improved around 14/15 wks (around the same time I started feeling movements, coincidentally - deffo not too early Becca, dh felt it at 15 wks too) but I still heave/puke if I've not had enough sleep and/or get really congested  Made the travelling days "interesting" :o

Had a lovely holiday, MiniZee went through a growth spurt when away and I *think* the increased bump is mostly baby and not just due to all inclusive food enjoyment! :p;) Got stretching pains right now (preventing me from getting back to sleep) and last night/evening (why does nobody warn you about these? They scared me at 18/19 weeks!) so that fits...deffo looking more bumpy than pudgy now ;)

Btw, flying + pregnancy = a couple of days of cankles, as I found out :p

    23+3 (moving on soon!)

I am now 19 weeks and I am tired but the headaches have mainly gone. Trying to make the most of feeling good as the last trimester of my first pregnancy was a bit of a write off. I will be stopping at Christmas and I am really looking forwards to a few weeks crocheting on the couch before the baby arrives.

We are getting quite a bit of work done on the house, if we can find a plumber, and we are doing a lot ourselves. It is tiring and hard going at the moment however it will all be worth it to have a lovely home to relax in during maternity leave.

My friend gave a stretchy wrap as a gift yesterday and my Becco Gemini is due to arrive today :D I think all I need now is a car seat, mattress and a few more reusable nappies.

  • Morning all,

sorry for my moan last night, feeling much this morning. DH did make it to bed last night about 2am....all cuddles and I love you...yeah yeah let me sleep!!!! :rotfl:Gave him the cold shoulder till about 9am - I cant stay mad at him for long!

About an hour ago realised we were out of butter and as I only eat toast for breakfast I nearly cried! hormones! DH jumped up and said he will go the shop for me....well and truly back in the good books now (doesn't take much does it!)

Nothing much planned for today, I can see blue sky so might get all my washing done and tonight its fresh sheets on the bed....love the smell of fresh sheets :D

I have lots of stretching pain today, not as hungry or as tired as I was so I am feeling much more normal at the moment! (except my hormones!! :rotfl:)

    have a lovely day,

  • Hi all *waves*

I'm 13+5 over from the other thread. Had my 12 week scan yesterday and all was fine, except no NT measurement because baby wouldn't cooperate (same problem with DD1). Will need to do the extra blood test instead now :(

    Hi all,
So lovely to see a rush of newbies to the thread, welcome all.
Have been feeling a bit blue lately, think its a mix of things: tiredness, irritability, hormones, and anxiety. Am now 20+4 but have to wait til 21+6 for my scan and am worrying away about lack of movements etc. Past miscarriage means I'm even more of a worrier than I might be. I was mean to hubby last night, this morning had a little cry and we're ok again. Just feel guilty for getting depressed but I guess I can't help how I feel! Looking forward to getting scan out of the way and holiday afterwards.

  • Rummer, Starshinning and Lola our DD's name wasn't even on the shortlist. She was going to be Orla (we thought she'd be a redhead, like mummy :D) but she was born with jet black hair! Orla means "golden princess" so didn't feel quite right after that. As it happens, she does now have strawberry blonde hair anyway :o but the name we chose is so "her" I have no regrets.

How old is you little one ? I wonder if we were on the preg thread together last time? name rings a bell?:)
Just take each day as it comes. :)

    Thanks for the welcome everyone.

Becca your bump certainly has had a growth spurt it's lovely!

I went to new look & left annoyed, I wanted maternity jeans because although my bump isn't that big my current jeans are tight around my tummy and so I need something stretchy.

I'm a size 8-10 on the bottom but they had no 8s & the 10s were like fishing waders!! So came home and spent £100 on Asos ordering various sizes then can return what I don't need.

Big zippy can't believe I just managed to get on here as you're leaving! X

DH cut up a grapefruit completely wrong for me this morning so I burst into tears. Poor boy lol
