Back from scan, we're Team Pink :D:D
Little Lowe was not playing ball however, so she couldn't get sight of the heart vessels so I have to go back at 23 weeks. I asked and she said everything looked fine, rhythm, place, chambers etc just needs to be able to cross the vessels off the list. At least I get to see baby again :)

We then had to wait an hour and half as clinic was running late. Saw the consultant (high bmi as risk factor) and she's decided I'll have shared care between them and the community midwives. I'll see the consultant again at 36 weeks to check my weight and baby's position and discuss options then. I'm more at risk of needing an instrumental delivery or c section and bleeding and will need to have medical management of active labour.
As long as little lowe is happy and healthy I don't mind what they have to do to me to get her here :)

    Soo looks like I'm having a baby :D:D:D x x x

Congrats TL :D there's a lot of team pink for January/February. I can't believe I've been on this thread for almost 3 months already, the time has really flown. I still don't feel like I've got anything sorted for little miss yet. I've definitely started nesting though and I'm so happy that her nursery is finally painted up nicely. I guess I should start to put her things in there instead of scattered around the house.

  • TL - Congrats on Team Pink! :D I think that's what I'll be too but I'll be mega happy whatever it is. From your bump photo you don't look like you've got high BMI. Thought you looked about the same as me and mine's 26.

Becca - After me saying I couldn't feel anything re movement seems like little bubs has decided to keep up with the Jones' and I felt some definite movements this afternoon :D

Jox - I'm the same. Lots of random rubbish goes round my head when I should be sleeping.

Just found out one of my best friends is pregnant so I'll have a bump buddy even if she is a couple of months behind:)
  • Congrats TL :):)

I've got nice pregnancy pimples going on, never get spots normally but have four little volcanoes on my face at the moment :rotfl::D

Congratulations on your healthy pink bump TeamLowe! Did you have a feeling it was a girl? I've got my scan first thing tomorrow morning and I am so scared. Everyone thinks boy so far, not one person has said girl. I don't have a clue!

SmlSave, sounds like a positive appointment. Is the birthing centre far from the main delivery suite? Is it a possibility for you?

My tiredness has come back too. I've been napping on my days off and yawning all day at work. I accidently slept from 3-6pm today, I was reading my kindle and fell asleep! I am okish today, I had the day off work to get my head around things. My monster of a cat has been following me all day, think it's his way of looking after me :)

Its just round the corner so I'm definitely going to be pushing for the birth centre. :) I'm going to try for a waterbirth as it was such a good experience last time but I'm realistic enough that I realise it probably won't happen.

Lots of luck for your scan tomorrow Faerie.

  • hi all, lovely to hear news of more baby girls on the way. we are going to find out too, but tell everyone we don't know. 4 weeks on Friday to wait and I am so excited! Cant believe I will be half way through then, only seems like yesterday since I found out. Think I scared DH last night by saying 5 months to go! I too would like a water birth but DH thinks I should take every pain killer going and be on the ward with doctors around etc in case anything goes wrong, rather than the birth centre (which is in the hospital anyway). He is so scared he might lose me and doesn't understand that many women give birth perfectly fine each day. Its sweet he's worried, but a pain in another way!

Slept awful last night, lots of back ache. I too am feeling flutters like butterflies in tummy, cant wait to feel full kicks etc. Not sure how I am going to get through work today with this back ache. Need to invest in a hot water bottle for work I think.

Mw appointment next Wednesday which I am looking forward too - what do they do at the 16/17wk appointment??

Mrsbunny - they do wee sample, maybe baby's heartbeat, blood pressure and see how you're feeling.

OH turned round to his friend at dinner last night and said he doesn't want a baby as he's just not ready yet!!! For goodness sake he's 37, if he's not ready now he needs to grow up.
