    Afternoon ladies, quiet around here!

Keep finding myself googling things and getting the answer 'hormones' lol heart palpitations? Hormones. Excess ear wax? Hormones. Out of breath easy? Hormones.

Pregnancy certainly isn't like what I expected, although not sure what I expected lol

  • Hi everyone,

I've graduated from the less than 12 weeks board! - had my 12 week scan on weds but they moved me forwards so I'm 14 wks tomorrow and due date is 10th Feb. After feeling at the time that I was never going to get to this point I now feel like it's going really fast!

Hope everyone is well and had a nice weekend :-)

    Morning ladies!

Hope you've all had a good weekend, how is it Monday again already?!

Had a successful day out with my Mum on Saturday who treated me to a load of maternity wear (including the greatest bargain ever in JoJo Maman Bebe - hot pink maternity jeans for £5 in the sale! I'm in love!). I had a sort out of my wardrobe and pulled out everything that definitely doesn't fit and stored it elsewhere so now when I look in there I don't have to sift through too-small clothes to find something to wear! Makes me feel much better about about the clothing situation now. :o Luckily my style always leaned toward to comfy and forgiving cuts so there are still a fair few of my pre-pregnancy dresses that I can wear- for now! :)

Congratulations for moving over HungryKitty! :)

I'm still feeling a little freaked out after reading about your orange segment baby belly dream Mincepiemonster!

TL, I agree that even though I'm not sure what pregnancy *would* be like, I'm not sure that this is it! :p It does strange things to you though! I still can't get over how hairy I am, of all the symptoms you can have why do I have to get gorilla legs?! :rotfl: I don't even know if it's worth getting everything waxed before going on holiday in case it just grows back really quickly- is it worth the pain?! :o

    Morning!

I've told the OH that we need to have a sit down and decide what we want to do re: baby & birth etc...I'm in full agreement with everyone that I really want time after she's born to just bond as the 3 of us, so if the MIL does decide to come and stay from xmas onwards she WILL be being asked to leave after she has met her. She can come back a few weeks later when OH goes back to work and I need some help, but tbh my mother will come up to help me out then and is, even through her faults, a darn site easier to deal with than the MIL and I rarely say things like that about her.

Had my FIL here this weekend along with my 3.5y/o nephew, my nephew is hectic...constantly talking, can't just sit there and play/read but has to engage you constantly, not what a pregnant lady with a chest infection wanted but nevermind. The FIL was fantastic with him and we had a lovely weekend, FIL even dug part of our garden for us to put in our veg :D

HungryKitty - I felt a bit cheated when I went from 9w to 11w at the scan, but I didn't really know my dates very well just that she must have been conceived when the cat was in season (we may have seen how my two cats were failing and decided to show them what to do lol, they were kicked out of the room though!!! Sorry TMI...gosh can never tell our daughter the story of her conception, how bad is that! "Darling...the cats were trying to make a baby and failed, so Mummy and Daddy made you instead" hahahaha)

20w scan on Wednesday and my birthday Thursday so OH is under orders to surprise me on Wednesday after the scan by taking me somewhere nice :) TBH all I want to do though is paint the babys' room...anyone else into the whole nesting thing at the moment?

    Morning all :)

Getting dressed earlier I noticed I have a very light linea nigra developing :) curious to see how many others have one too :)

Mine only goes from the pubic area to my belly button.

Calien- I sometimes think I can see a bit of one but I'd have to shave my belly to be sure  due to my PCOS I have a stripe of black hair exactly where you'd expect the linea negra to be lol

Kerri good luck for scan- are you finding out the flavour? we've decided we'll find out but not tell anyone as we don't want everything blue/pink

Birdie I have gorilla tendencies anyway but there's definitely more hair on my belly now, thankfully white and downy and the black hairs at the top of my legs have migrated a bit more. For some stupid reason I thought pregnancy would make the PCOS symptoms go away but nope - more spotty and hairy than ever!

I can't tell if I've got a linea nigra either since I've got a downy line there anyway! :o Which is getting hairier... le sigh. Seriously, if I did get waxed it'd be a whole body job- how embarrassing, not to mention painful, is that going to be? 'I need you to wax my underarms, legs, bikini line, belly, lower back (which thankfully is j

Anyway... I the end of that ramble was... (which thankfully is just fine white hairs but still- ewww!), toes, might as well do my arms whilst you're at it...' :rotfl:

Kerri- glad you're getting things sorted with the MIL's visit. :)
