Congratulations on V-Day vic! hopefully I'll see you over there, only another 10 weeks to go for me
When DH woke up this morning the first thing he said was that I did a trump so bad he had to leave the room. Of all the pregnancy symptoms I was expecting, horrendous trumps were not one!
After all my worry before and this morning one of my favourite work dresses now only just fits, so I think this will be the last time wearing it, it fitted fine last week!
Got some moisturiser for my belly button and belly in general, was tempted by the cussons stretch mark cream til I saw it was a fiver! and bio-oil is fifteen quid! did some research on their 'clinically proven' claims and it looks like it's just the 'massage cream in twice a day' which is proven to reduce the appearance of stretch marks, not the actualy product, so a big bottle of sainsbury's own moisturiser it is thenLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Congrats on V day Vic
see you over there in 5 weeks time eep.
TL - I'm not bothering with the stretch mark cream, if I get any I'll just put some of the bio-oil on them that I have leftover from when I had an operation years ago. The stuff really lasts, but considering moisturizers don't go deep enough I'll be bound to get them whether I use expensive products or not. Will just cross fingers and hope instead.
AFM - taking a sick day, this chest infection isn't shifting by itself without me stopping, so stopping I shall do. A day in bed with ipl4yer for me it is. I've got my 3yo nephew this weekend so he can have a break from his mummy and little brother, so need to be better for that. Besides having this for over a week and a half now is not good.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Congratulations for V-day Vic! Only another 11 weeks for me!
would you mind adding me at the bottom of the list? My EDD is 10th Feb.
Hope the sick day does the trick and makes you feel a lot better Kerri. You really don't want to be feeling ill whilst running around after a 3 year old!
Hugs for the worrying scan Lily. My cousin's little girl was measuring small all the way through pregnancy but she got to full term and was a perfectly healthy weight when she was born. Some babies just want to worry us from the start! Glad you're getting lots of monitoring though.
Hope the midwife appointment goes well today Star, I'm sure everything will be just fine!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

24 weeks today- V day at last! Time to move on to the pregnancy thread. I will still be lurking to see how you're all getting on. Hope to see everyone over there soon (see you in a few days kscarlett!). Hugs and best wishes xxx
Congrats on V day!! Hope to see you in a few days (2 days infact!) xxGot some moisturiser for my belly button and belly in general, was tempted by the cussons stretch mark cream til I saw it was a fiver! and bio-oil is fifteen quid! did some research on their 'clinically proven' claims and it looks like it's just the 'massage cream in twice a day' which is proven to reduce the appearance of stretch marks, not the actualy product, so a big bottle of sainsbury's own moisturiser it is then
I found 2 large bottles of bio oil from last time, I'm not sure if it helped or not but like you say it was probably the massage that helped. I didn't have any marks until I got to 40 weeks then I got a few on my one side when I went overdue. They have disappeared since but I am sure I will end up with loads more!! My mum has terrible stretch marks so I am sure I will end up covered. I think any type of moisturising/ massage is worth a try, also drinking lots of water etc. I am sure I read somewhere about omega 3 helping too but who knows!!Trying to save for a deposit

I am back. Been to the midwife listen to baby heart beat
all sounded fine. Because my DD2 was born with a defect I was told we get an extra scan at 20 weeks. I am currently 16 weeks plus 3 days. Well today I asked who actually books it etc as I really think they will miss it and forget. It is like 3 people all doing one jobs so things get handed around. They said at the last scan 12 weeks they would have booked it. Well they havent no one has. AND they said i should be having it at 16 weeks !! which is now. I am so cross
This scan is a huge deal as babies defect could cause it to pass away and we may be offered a termination so I need it as soon as it is possible.
feel so upset and angry with them
Just take each day as it comes.
Bump due 18th January :j0 -
oof starshinning that is very annoying, hope it can be sorted soon
just seen this on the BBC website which is fairly interesting
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-23594668
although considering you're considered full term at 37 weeks and they don't let you go past 42 weeks it seems obvious to me that the variation would be about 5 weeks
but i do find it fascinating that they've no idea what makes labour start when it doesLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Anyone know how to convince the OH that a home birth will be what you will do when it's eviction time? I've decided I'd really like one and I'll likely be more relaxed if I'm at home than in a hospital. OH thinks we should definitely go to a hospital as that's where "all babies are born". I might be mad for wanting a home birth, but they can always ship us to hospital if there is a problem it's only 5 minutes up the road and the midwife would be with us so it's not like we'd be just on our own.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Hi Kerri, two people I know had home births with their first babies. Can you get some more info from midwife or from a website like nct? My local hospital has regular home birth work shops which I think are for people considering the option to get advice and see what support there is from the midwives etc. Maybe being more informed will take some of the scariness away for your OH?fran-o0
