They took a lot of things down recently, maybe they are just updating the site after their sale. Hopefully they should be back soon. The H&M leggings are good too as are their tights, over the bump and really comfy.

I got mine in an asda living store. I noticed that they had really cut down on the maternity collection though.

Am I the only one that doesn't like asda's maternity leggings? :o I found the seams irritating and it was a bit puckered on the bump bit... I took mine back :o I did get some seamless ones from New Look that are soft and comfy though, for something like £8 They have a massive maternity range online, I've just ordered some more stuff actually :p

Ordered a load of maternity bras and swimwear from Deb's and JL so I could try them in the comfort of my own home and then take them back. Have found a nice comfy maternity swimsuit for my holiday... Shame it's £40 though! they do like to rip us off when it comes to maternity ranges, don't they? :p The search for comfy maternity/nursing bras continues...the contender so far is £30 and altho it's the best so far, I begrudge it so much cos my previous bras were £8-9/2 for £12!

Is anyone else a miser like me? :p

Can you put a price on comfort? x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • I never got on with maternity leggings when having DD - I just bought normal leggings, including a pair in the size up for right at the end - and wore them back to front. My bump fitted nicely in the bit of space where your bum is meant to go :rotfl:

We live literally a 5 minute walk from Asda so I avoid going there if at all possible otherwise I'd always be in there! They make you walk through all the clothes, CDs, toys etc to get to the food - very clever!

Kerri hope your water is on soon, we're very lucky in that we have an electric shower which is a godsend in these kind of situations. We had a leak the other month which meant we were without hot mains for a while so I do feel your pain! Glad you love the house though.

Vic lovely bump pic, I'm still waiting for mine to arrive (17+0 today :T) so sure it won't be long - in theory my stomach muscles should give up and expand soon as they were destroyed in my previous pregnancy!

Rummer and Birdie I would recommend the stretch wraps from Victoria Slinglady. She has her own website and sells on Ebay too. To be really MSE you could just buy the hybrid wrap which is woven, so suitable for wearing on your back once baby is a bit bigger. The stretch ones aren't suitable for back carrying as they roll down and baby can flip out. The stretch ones seem much more comfy for a newborn though and are only about £20 from there. Once you get the hang of tying them they're great!

The Ergos are also meant to be good but watch out for fakes, especially on Amazon and Ebay. They look identical but haven't passed the safety checks. Far better to pay an extra £20 for the official one I'd think. My friend still uses hers for her 20 month old and says it's fine (and he was 9 lb 7oz born  so not a small toddler !)

I have this one. It's the best swimming costume I've ever owned.

I've got my 24 week check with my midwife this morning. Forgot to do my urine sample when I got up though..hoping that I can squeeze some more out.

Thanks for the sling/carriers advice and link. :) I don't think we've got a sling library nearby but I'll have a look tonight. I want a stetchy wrap to start with but OH would rather something a little more manly from the off so we'll probably end up with a couple of different styles, just have to decide on what we want, which is, as with everything, a personal choice and I just hope everyone I mention it to will keep their mouths shut as I'm fed up of people constantly telling me what I should/shouldn't be spending my money on! :)

That's a lovely bump photo Vic! I just look like I've got a pasta baby in there! :o

For my holiday (less than 4 weeks! :j) I've bought a couple of swimsuits in a size bigger so I hope they'll fit me OK. Might get a bit tight after 2 weeks of eating though! :o

I'm a bit of a miser too BZ, I don't have a lot of spare cash each month for clothes shopping so finding it difficult to get everything I need! I really need to get some maternity bras but can't afford them right now so making do with what I've got, but it won't be possible for much longer. Need to go shopping with my Mum so she can treat me to what I need! :p

    Afternoon Ladies,
my little hummingbird is up to its old tricks, all i want is sugar again! trying so hard not to eat all the pack of sour fruit pastilles in my drawer, why did i buy them at all? lol

Vic3 lovely bump and great about your appointment going well :)

I don't like spending money on myself so being a bit of miser when it comes to maternity wear. although having a large chest already it's always been drilled in to me how important wearing the proper bra is so I'm used to paying £30ish for a bra, although my current ones were £18 for two from M&S.

I've got maternity leggings (the Asda ones, although i find i have to put them right up to under my bra otherwise they rest on my bloated tummy and hurt a little), maternity jeans and a pair of stretchy waist pants. lots of my tops are either baggy and/or come down quite far (long tops are slimming don'tchaknow) so hopefully i won't have to buy much more

been having weird pains in my arms but realised today that it must be cause of my boobs growing - when my gran had a masectomy she was warned that she'd feel something in her arms as apparently there's tendons that connect the two.

also my belly button really hurt on the way home last night! didn't occur to me that it might, bit worried about it as one of my scars from surgery is 'hidden' in it, so don't know how well scar tissue stretches :s

I'm sure it's nothing to worry about chick. Do you have any pain? Give your midwife a call, just to check x
